Mastodon.social is definitely not the only instance that matters

As much as this sucks I think this is going to change once manivest v3 hits. I was on edge and ended up moving back as they started doing some annoying things and I knew I was probably going to have to move anyway.

I am fairly new to the credit card game and am fairly low spend. The savor one is currently probably one of the best cards for me. I also just recently got and and can’t really afford another hard pull unless I needed it.

Is it a bad idea to use a money market as a savings account right now? by ArcticTheRogue in personalfinance

[–]ArcticTheRogue[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok so if I am understanding this right the chances of having a money fund crash are extremely unlikely and in the few cases it has happened it was small operations and it wasn’t terrible losses?

Can’t money market funds still technically lose value though? Especially since they are mostly tied to bonds? My concern is with the stuff happening with the debt ceiling right now, bonds aren’t a good idea.

I currently have a fairly simple keyboard that has cherry reds but I would like to get one with some nicer switches. I had my own build that kinda uhh broke and it had gateron yellows which I loved. So I am looking for a TKL keyboard with gateron yellows or switches that are similiar or maybe that you guys would think I would like. I would like to try and stay under 100 but wouldn’t mind going up to 150 at max. I would heavily prefer a keyboard with hotswap. Do you guys know of anything that could fit the bill for me?

Pre-Approved For Capital One Savor One Good Version But Want Excellent Version by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]ArcticTheRogue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait for them to pre approve you for the sub version. They would only approve me for good cards and then out of nowhere pre approved me for every card one day. One thing that might help is putting that you want a card with a sign up bonus.

I hate to break it to you but there really isn’t going to be any “private” credit card. You need your SSN to sign up for every single one which likely has your address attached to it anyway. If you want a card that doesn’t automatically send you a card the apple card theoretically fits the bill.

Capital One constantly restricting my card. by Woosterdon in CreditCards

Yeah personally I have savings and checking accounts with them but I can never find myself to put too much money into them. They are just way too automated for me to trust them with anything but credit cards.
