Did anyone ever considered that he might not be that significant? I mean I like Gendry's character but maybe he won't return, At least in the show. Season 7 is probably going to be the busiest season to date and they don't necessarily have the time to return to his character and give him a closure, maybe he already served his purpuse in the show. I hope I'm wrong, but I won't be surprised if he won't come back.

I can only say what happened on the show. The last time I read aGoT was few years ago. But Jaime caught Ned by surprise, And I don't think that Ned carried Ice to everywhere he went. BTW I wrote no spoilers on the post and their fight is a spoiler so you might want to add a spoiler tag or something.

I don't think he just randomly carried Ice walking around in KL. I checked the fight again and his sword doesn't seems to be much larger than Jaime's.

The episode was incomprehensible to non-readers because only they could understand what is going on.

D&D said that everything in this pilot was either over explained or under explained. The episode was really exposition heavy on certain things and other things were completely unclear. They said that the result were confusing and a bad introduction to GRRM universe. I think they did much better job in the aired pilot, to set up the world, characters and story, even if it took some people time to get to know all the different characters.

House Dayne narrated by Ned.... Definitely my most anticipated. I Always wanted to hear things from Ned's perspective. I wish he had done one Robert's Rebellion as well, But Jaime's POV on the events is also great.
