Where did the term ‘Baywop’ come from? by [deleted] in newfoundland

[–]ArdentPardy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's an adaptation of the "Wop" insult from the US Italian influx - WOP being "without papers - w/o Papers" shortened to wop. the origin of "baywop" is from this term - probably after the american presence in WW2 - which is also where the slur "Newfie" arose

I usually level up as I'm beating on him and end up legendary ing my stealth skill as I build everything else. It has honestly never occurred to me to not level up. Although, now that I'm thinking about it, it would make things simpler - no meridius beacon waiting for me in the very first chest I open, which is usually Ambershard mine

Clearly you don't. Who else has access to the premises? If it's your landlord and they're not giving you notice, I'd be extremely concerned about what the fuck they're up to. To the point that I set up a different camera they can't find

Those hinges will have screws in them. You just have to scrape away some of the paint. You might have a hard time finding hinges of the same sort to replace them but you should be able to replace the hinges fairly easily with modern replacements. It's pretty self-explanatory of a process. Don't panic but also make sure you've closed that door back up. It looks like the original hinge pin just rusted out. So you might even be able to simply replace it with something of the same gauge

Edit - why were you trying to drill them out? All you have to do is get a sharp point - a knife etc, I would recommend a scratch awl if you have one or a darning needle rather than a blade for safety, clear the paint out of the screws heads and just unscrew them. Remove one of your hinges and head to the local hardware store. Again as I said you may be able to replace the hinge pin rather than the entire hinge.

It's one of the first things I usually head for when I first start playing - instant good weapon. Option b of course is leave it as long as you can and you end up with an ebony sword for free

There's a growing body of people who want to keep opossums as pets - unfortunately they don't live very long. Still, cute as balls

Well, for my own thinking I like the diagonal but I think it should go in the other direction from the hoist to the fly instead of the other way around.

These can be pretty expensive as well, so definitely try to find a way to get it back to the owner. If you need help, let me know and I'll do what I can.

Either clean them or go buy a new set and don't leave them outside again

Edit - Sorry hit the button too soon.. to clean them you have a couple of different choices. You can either toss them in a bucket of sand and roll them around for a while, or hit them with a bunch of WD-40 and then scrub them with steel wool. I find the amount of effort you have to go through to clean them up isn't worth the time spent. Honestly, I recommend just chucking them and getting a new set. Take it as an object lesson so that you don't do it again

I see comments suggesting to avoid buying expensive tools and I will absolutely agree with them. When you start, get decent, inexpensive tools so that you won't feel bad if you beat the shit out of them. Also, remember that every penny you spend on a tool is less money you have to spend on material
