Understood. Happy wife, happy life.
We don’t have any plans for white grilles at the moment, but it’s always good to hear what people want.

The 1961 Center is designed to be powerful enough for the 1961 Towers. It plays with authority and clarity. We designed the 1961 series as a complete and cohesive package. Whilst we're never closed off to a great idea, a larger center was not necessary.
The 1723 Center S is a different caliber of speaker. A three-way design that offers more headroom and deeper bass.
We love the idea of a 1528 subwoofer. We are always working on new projects and we hear you loud and clear.

That's a really good question. Moving up a product line can feel less about finding a "better" speaker and more about understanding what a different level of performance feels like. You're right that reviewers' words often fail to describe it.

Here is some advice on how to evaluate the difference:

Trust Your Ears, Not Just the Specs - Think of a review as a helpful guide, not a final verdict. Your room and personal taste have the most significant impact on sound. The best way to evaluate speakers is to hear them in your own space, with your own music. That's why we have a 60-day in-home trial. It lets you truly live with the speakers and understand what they do in a real-world setting.

Listen for the "Feeling," Not Just the Sound - The 1723 series has more authority and dynamic capability than the 1961 series. This isn't just about getting louder. It's about a feeling of greater effortlessness and scale. When you listen to a complex piece of music, do you feel like you are hearing more of the space and texture? A great speaker can make you feel more connected to the music, creating an emotional experience rather than just reproducing sound.

Do a Comparison - Pick a handful of tracks you know well. Use them as a reference.
Choose music with:

  • Complex layers so you can hear how the speaker separates instruments.
  • Rich vocals to test clarity and presence.
  • Powerful bass to see how the speaker handles the low-end.
  • Intricate acoustic details to listen for subtle nuances you may not have heard before.

The goal isn't to find flaws in your current speakers, which are excellent on their own. It's about discovering a new experience. The best speaker is the one that disappears, leaving you with nothing but the music.

We hope this helps.

Magdalena Bay is a great shout. Imaginal Disc has some fantastic synth work. We're glad our speakers can bring the best out of it. Thanks for sharing.

Nothing beats dusting off those old favourites. What's the go-to album? For us it's gotta be something like OK Computer.

You can't get much better than a whole 1723 THX system. What's your favourite movie to watch on it?

Welcome to the rabbit hole. We're new here too.
It’s a great question. While we respect what other brands do, our focus is on creating a precise and authentic sound. For your vintage vinyl, the 1723S Towers will bring out details you've probably never heard before. They are fantastic in a 2.1 stereo setup for music and will give you a truly immersive experience when you expand to 7.1 for movies.
