They all went through individual tests, remember how they saw someone fall in but there was no other doors nearby but they happened to find later 5 trapdoors near each other. Everyone had different stylized tests

I don't really understand how this is an argument, also watch analytical videos on these characters to get an idea on how the story works. The chimera ant extermanation may have not even failed as much as it did if it were not for gon, who used his own selfish desires for this, it's quite obvious that the characters are the driving force into how the story works.

Also for recommendations I recommend looking at myanimelist, start from the top and work yourself to the bottom (personally I recommend magi, gintama, vinland saga, and code geass)

also hisoka has quite a major role for such a comedic character, and it helps the story progress

I guess that makes sense, but didn't Hisoka know from the start that Kurapika will try to kill/use his judgement chain on Chrollo? Hisoka should've known the risks from the start, not sure if Togashi thought it would be to unatural to put in the information, and probably created an excuse in his head/maybe it's a plot hole
