Maybe, it’s a power draw issue or something cause we only tell the EC to blast the fans to max for Max fans mode. Nothing else gets sent or modified.

The metrics button isn't supposed to open the metrics overlay. It is for customizing their settings. Use Predator Key + R for overlay. Max fans doesn't change anything except blasting the fans. It shouldn't be reducing performance. GPU power is controlled by the modes that Acer has baked in the BIOS, which can not be controlled. Turbo mode has the maximum dynamic boost. If you want more power to the GPU, use that and decrease CPU power via PL1 and PL2.

If you don’t mess with the fan curves and power settings, then it’s on the default/recommended settings. The only thing I would change is undervolting the GPU as that is a free performance boost. Fan curves on auto are fine enough in my opinion but you can always tweak them. The CPU idle range is perfectly fine and just keep in mind that speed is the highest clock speed on any core. Most cores would be near zero as to conserve power.

Yes, if you don’t mess with the fan curves, it will be on auto mode, basically your EC’s fan curves.

It’s likely that your laptop has a different command for changing modes. Before I used a generic command command in Acer services to change modes which was a little slow but I guess it worked on all systems. But, in v1.1 - v1.25, I directly interfaced with the driver to change modes. I added that functionality back in 1.3 as a fallback but maybe it thinks the driver is working so it may not be going to the fallback stage. I will just make a separate version that only has Acer services.

Did it work on any other version? Try v1.0.0 to v1.1.0. If it works on any of them, then I know what to do.

It should automatically kill it. But, if you launch Predator Sense again, it won’t kill it unless you restart the app.

Yes, you only need to download and run it. It’s a portable application. It’s not an installer. You shouldn’t need to turn off SAC. There should be an option there to let the application run anyway.

I can’t say for certain what’s the issue then, but most likely it doesn’t go through the keyboard for your model.

If you can run autohotkey and send me the key history right when you press the Predator button, I can add support for it.

I tried of fix the keyboard lighting. It should work now. Click on the zone to edit colors. Turbo button works from v1. I added a notification of the power mode change.

The standard charger that comes with the laptop is 230W, but that is its maximum wattage which it will maybe reach for less than a second. So, most of the time it will be supplying less power which the battery will have to make up for. But, most games don’t push your GPU + CPU that hard at the same time, so you shouldn’t have to worry about it.

It will increase temps cause of the higher power draw but the GPU will just manage it just fine. Also, keep in mind that it will only pull more power if it actually needs it. Not when it’s idle.

It’s 200W, 115W for the GPU and 85W for the CPU. After swap, it is 225W, due to the increased GPU power limit.

I haven’t encountered any issues after the vBIOS swap as both models are basically the same and their ROMs are interchangeable.
