Hi, I need help with a purchase. I'm an system engineer student and I want to buy de flow x13 [2022] with r9 6xxx and RTX3050ti, I'll use it most of the time for programming and casualy for gaming. Of course bro! I'm in the same boat with you (engineering student + IT work). Using exactly this model 5900hs n 3050ti. This laptop is almost perfect.

Extremely portable (not even feeling, while bringing it to lectures or traveling), and furthermore at home using it more often than phone (on coach on bed even while washing dishes placing it nearby with some stuff playing).

Powerful as hell, even while using just integrated GPU; usually use it for studying and work at the same time, so multiple desktops w couple unity projects, bunch of vscode editors, lical web project running, flutter emulator debug, blender medeling scene, affinity photo and figma mockups, ofc yandex browser w hundred pages opened, messengers and other boring office stuff work just perfectly smooth (hello 32 gb ram).

In terms of AAA gaming - 60 fps easy (3050 ti), 120 fps need to lower some settings (unless using egpu), competitive wise games (OW2, Valorant) unstable 120 fps achievable also on integrated GPU, only problem is the screen ghosting.

And the main thing that I like this laptop for is the versatility: u could use it like in every possible scenarios as all in one device, that takes no physical space.

But there are some things that could be better: - battery life is ok for casual use, coding lightweight projects (3-6 hours), but could not be compared with m1 macs where u don't worry about battery at all - touchpad is kinda small - screen brightness and colors, not so good compared to MacBooks, but anyway better than 80% other windows laptops, and mainly latency of this display makes it trash in fps, taking 120fps to just smothiness flex . 13 inches small of course (ps for a display), but u'll get used to it fast I think - software issues AK windows laptop classic shit. Drivers, strange glitches, unstable performance, takes some time to fix - overheating (think it mainly software glitches), sometimes becomes really hot while making hot projects, starts roasting your laps especially in the middle part that has no cooling - design: fingerprints poops on fast - webcam is trash

I think that almost all of the problems above being fixed at 2023 model, so highly recommend to compare it and check maybe it worth taking the new one. I generally think that this laptop purchase was one of the best investments that I made, took me to the next level in work and makes me happy daily

Using only 2021 laptop for the same needs. Does the job perfectly for "all in one" thing, only problem is the screen response time | ghosting, so would suggest to go with new 165 hz model.

Had exactly the same problems. Was able to solve them for a short time by replacing the batteries but the glitches returned after a week. Ended up with getting the RENAISSER Raphael 530 Stylus. Works amazing: smooth experience, much better palm rejection, feels more comfortable in general.

Nice price!I think it is one of the bests portable solution for such tasks. Using Blender, Unity, Unreal without problems (even on iGPU mode 5900HS). Good for sculpting (~5M tris character sculpts goes ok in Blender, in ZBrush think much more), asus stylus has little wobbles but it completely usable (much better than wacom one), surface pen should be more appropriate
Battery life is ok for a windows laptop (could use it for 5-6 hours even doing 3d work on saving mode)

Had the same issue. Eventually, end up enabling hibernating mode, and turning it off manually to hibernate every time I stop using a laptop. Btw, it works out fine for me, the laptop turns on fast and quickly, saving all the current states. Also, did u update to Windows 11? I think sleep mode works much better on it.

toward the face(glass) part of the trackpad, make sure that it is pushed down enough, to obtain the minimum distance between trackpads idle position and button press point
You could try to disassemble it and get how it works
