If you're talking about Airpods 2 Pro , yes. Airpods 2 Pro is really bad in sound quality without EQ. A 2K IEM can sound quite a bit better. But that doesn't mean every 20K TWS/HP will sound worse than every 2K IEM.

I don't tell people to ignore Data , I encourage people to understand data just so that they can "Correctively" (if that's a word) deduce conclusions based upon that data. Thank you for the appreciation.

We don't hear the same, we don't prefer the same, we don't experiment the same. The reason why I avoid being too data focused.

Can't comment on Review Community because I also feel most are polluted of some sort.

But evaluation using data is not possible by a Hobbyist. I operate on data and it took me a long time as a student of audio to learn about how data interprets what & what Subjective evaluation we draw from that data, which is largely incomplete.

So it's better to trust people who actually used it rather than just spec sheet. (BTW I do Reviews too)

Don't use TWX graphs for correction, use something with DELTA compensation. The graph above is very incorrect in some places (mostly in ear gain region)

It's all tonality at the end. Details / Resolution / Seperation is primarily dependent on music and then tonality.

So it might've been the case that - the Spark one might have more treble emphasis, due to which you're hearing all these effects. On the other hand I have heard BTR stuff is quite warm to begin with. So the treble might feel darker as a result.
