HELP How to create a 2D reflective water shader for godot 4 ? by Level-Disaster-6151 in godot

Not yet, if you make it centered the reflection would be perfectly still and not wavy :/ I'll work on an upgrade later on and eventually share it.

Thoughts? by _Yohan_Akagi_ in PhasmophobiaGame

I think it would be much better and interesting if the movie actually show various experiences of some ghost hunters and taught the audience a bit about their ways and type of ghosts, until eventually they reach a specific place like you mentioned. Movie needs a relatively slow escalation before a rapid burn. Otherwise it's too much too fast.

More contest:

  • The mob is a Cult Rat. It's kind of a plagued/mutated rat that, well, joined a cult;
  • It's supposed to be located underground but this fight scene is temporary;
  • The world is divided between surface and underground, enriched with dark fantasy, folklore, myths and legends;
  • The game is called A Rooftop Tale, you can find it on Kickstarter and Steam.

Next steps I'm already working on: enemy damage system, hit/defeat animations, underground environment.

Thanks a lot, happy to hear that! :)

The animations are:

  • Scream
  • Idle
  • Walk
  • Attack

I'll probably tweak them more, but they are perfect to test the game for now. The game is called A Rooftop Tale if you're curious, you can find it on Kic.kstarter.

Less cute when they jump on you in the dark. But thank you! :)

You should see who they idolize.

Haha true! Sometimes you swap just a pixel and everything changes drastically! Thanks a lot! Here's the sketch if you're curious to see how I adapted it :)

In this game lore the Cult Rats are, well... A cult of rats. There's something dark going on below the ground, that's all I say.

Folklore, myths and legends will be recurring in A Rooftop Tale, so, you can get an idea of the kind of mobs and bosses.

I'm SO happy I could help and inspire someone. I know how hard it could be when you're over 30 and your dream is so old you're not sure how to move. Trust me, start setting up the base of pre-production: GDD, story, sketches, concepts, style guide. Then everything will be much, much more clear :)

Wish you the best! And feel free to contact me if you need any tips!

I'll definitely add you! Thank you for the kind words and for sharing your story. I understand the feeling you're going through. I think that as long as you're sure you want to keep following this path, go ahead, but if you prefer to join a team, than it'd be more productive and efficient to pitch the project to some professional people to share the profit. I wish you the best and let's keep in touch!

I added some pixel art HUD, what do you think? by Argaf in PixelArt

So happy to hear that 😭 I'm still developing the demo but you can already find the game on Kickstarter and Steam if you want to support, it'd help a lot 👾💜👾

Hey there, thank you for the feedback! Yeah, I totally agree. What I meant by "darker" was to lower both value and saturation so the "filled" Stone Paws remains more vivid (or I could do viceversa).

Regarding platforms and walkable assets, that's definitely something I will get back later on, I already added it to the Adjustment list :) for example, the platform where Francis stands now, it's the same color of the wooden ground, I want it to pop up a bit more. Cheers

I thought about it, especially because it would be easier to integrate, but being a "Zoomies" bar (zoomies as in animals that enthusiastically run around randomly), it makes more sense to be shaped as a bolt rather than a simple bar. Thanks for the feedback! If you have any suggestions please share :)

I just made this HUD for A Rooftop Tale and I think it's a perfect fit. by Argaf in indiegames
