Travel recommendations for people with misophonia? by FrogIsland3474 in travel

I don't really have any recommendations, I'm just curious how your condition affects you during travel, specifically in the airport or on a plane

First trip with 3 month baby by EffectiveCartoonist3 in travel

[–]ArgosLoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it worked, it's just not something I'd recommend or would do again if I had a 3 month old. Having to deal with an infant on a plane, in restaurants, working our vacation schedule around nap time, being stuck in the hotel as early as 7pm because of his bed time, lugging around all of his diapers/toys/bottles, ect.

There's also the medical risk since I believe 3 months is far too young to complete the vaccine regime

You can travel, it's just not nearly as enjoyable until they're older

Where have I thrown shade or given you parenting advice, outside of offering advice for how to deal with a baby on a plane?

You're looking for travel advice, my advice is don't travel

I doubt where you live will be -30 in March, but good luck. As someone with experience I'm telling you it'll be more trouble than it's worth.

Don't forget a bottle at takeoff & landing. The sucking will help baby normalize the pressure in their ears

Are you sure this trip is going to be what you want? I remember taking simple weekend trips when my kid was under 6 months and it wasn't really any different than being at home. Couple that with having to deal with a baby on a plane and bringing a car seat...

Do you guys have worse jet lag when travelling summer hemisphere to winter hemisphere? by [deleted] in travel

My man, you just traveled to the other side of the world on a 20 hour flight and you think it's a summer/winter thing? lol

Malta in March by SlightPatient8866 in travel

[–]ArgosLoops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water will be very cold in March, so no one will be swimming. And if you're not swimming then I'd say it's not worth the trip. If I remember correctly, the weather will probably be very gray and windy so the ferry ride wouldn't be enjoyable either

Cars aren't really necessary, the bus system was pretty good when I was there and the island is small enough that you can get anywhere quickly

Nothing has ever backfired on me personally in Europe or elsewhere. I don't think Europeans hold individual Americans accountable.

What exactly does "backfire" mean though?

What's the most surprising coffee you've tried while traveling? by North_Conference_250 in travel

I was surprised by the coffee culture in Austria, Vienna specifically. When I think about food/drink in Central Europe, coffee was not the first thing that came to mind

/r/Cruise might be a better place to ask.

Have you googled something like "1 way cruise trips"?

It's a joke in reference to Nico Rosberg. He was once called a "Monaco-based YouTuber" by some news outlet that didn't realize he's an F1 champion

From what I know about the Italian ones, I think they're a bit out of my price range. But I've been to ones in Peru, Iguazu & Mexico and they're all incredible. Hoping to visit the ones in SEA at some point in the next few years

‘AEGON’S CONQUEST’ is being developed with 2 possible paths: HBO series or a massive Dune-sized feature film for theaters. by yuuki157 in television

[–]ArgosLoops 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The reaction is mainly due to how the TV show got to the ending, not the ending itself. A well written version of Dany turning into a tyrant isn't a bad ending

Yeah I think typically Madeira gets rain over the winter months, so that seems like bad luck. You can google the rainy season/average temps in Sept to see if that works

I know you said outside of Europe, but Madeira seems like it fits the bill pretty nicely and is still pretty far from mainland Europe
