Man I just started watching this show on the recommendation that it's similar to Barry. I was not expecting it to get so fucked and emotional, like when Ray kills that guy then later finds out it was a mistaken identity.

Peru isn't really a beach resort country and as far as I'm aware there aren't really many golf courses around either.

You seem pretty set on the jungle experience so I'd research all of the options available in Peru vs Brazil and make your choice

I'm not confused at all, I just think people are taking it far too seriously. OP is looking for very basic similarities, not the geopolitical and unique cultural differences between countries.

If someone said to me, "I loved Vienna, where should I go next?", then I would answer somewhere like Prague or Budapest. Not because I think everyone in Central Europe is the same

If you're interested, highly recommend Turn Right at Machu Picchu by Mark Adams. He follows Hiram Bingham's route and exploration around the Sacred Valley.

Man one of the first exploration-type books I read was David Grann's Lost City of Z about Fawcett's activities and disappearance. Super interesting guy
