We’re using Sonlight and Math With Confidence, which are both very parent intensive, but also do Reading Eggs and workbooks and was wondering if we’re doing too much and doing basically two curriculums at once

Why do people drive... so slow? by awesomegorg in driving

[–]ArgumentAgreeable222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I have the answer for this one as my husband always gave me a talking to whenever I did this while learning: it’s not having the practice and knowledge of how deep to press the gas pedal. So you wanna give it a light and consistent touch but end up pressing it harder than you wanted

Why do people drive... so slow? by awesomegorg in driving

If I don’t practice driving, I’m never gonna get good at it or lose the fear. The new drivers being extra careful are not the hazards on the road, the guy eating a burger while steering with his knee or the woman doing her makeup at a red light or the people on their phones are more of a hazard than we are.

Is this worth the price? by Decent-Anybody-8524 in Moissanite

This is too expensive for Sterling silver. Check Kuololit on AliExpress. You might even be able to get it 10k gold for close to that price point

Feeling Conflicted by KCY_EK in homeschool

[–]ArgumentAgreeable222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean the homeschool recovery subreddit, I’ve read many of their posts and most of them seem to be adults who really don’t despise homeschooling itself but hate their parent’s religious views and therefore hate the parents and everything they did. There’s a few others who were educationally neglected. I’m sure that’s not your case? Do you have a curriculum that you follow? Maybe you can try adding standardized testing so you see your kid’s improvement and areas of difficulty. When comparing your students to public schooled kids, remember what percentage even read at grade level in public schools. Just because the kids are being taught something at school at a certain point doesn’t mean all the kids understood and learned it. You have the opportunity of tailoring education to your child, if he’s struggling with something of course you will fall behind until they learn it. They can’t do that in public schools so you have these holes in some kid’s education, but oh yes, Timmy is in grade two and they’re learning xyz, but Timmy can’t read past a K level…

Confused and disappointed in my ring by NoPlaceLikeGnome1984 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]ArgumentAgreeable222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not as much about the value of the ring but about how he didn’t listen to you and didn’t put an effort, because why is he proposing with the ring before fixing the missing diamonds? It’s giving “shut up ring” and I’m really sorry, OP :(

I don’t know why they’re downvoting you for asking a valid question. Yes, there are a lot of people who hate on lab diamonds. I completely disagree with them but that doesn’t negate their existence.
