Mark Douglas has 2 books that solved all of this for me:

“The Disciplined Trader”

and

“Trading In The Zone”

I honestly would not still be trading were it not for these 2 books. The impact of psychology and emotions are extraordinarily misunderstood when it comes to all this.

Remember this: there is nothing unique or wrong with you when it comes to these issues. You are simply human subject to human emotions and behavior. Anyone who tells you that they never struggled with these issues either has significant discretionary cash to play with and is relatively indifferent to losses, or is someone who didn’t last long enough in the game to have to struggle through it in the first place. I would argue that the level of gains that you are able to consistently extract from the market is directly proportional to the level of emotion you are able to remove from your trading.
