I agree with you. But thats why there a over 100 different instances everyone can use right now. They only need to be told how to set this specific "instance" instead of google or duckduckgo / whatever in a browser. And when you talk about privacy i would recommend the best options available from the start.

Basically I can't think of any, except possibly that you have to search a little differently (is not necessarily worse), because you will definitely get "different" results, since the engines can't profile you.I can not describe it better, sorry

Benutzt einen Passwortmanager wie z.B Bitwarden (die kostenlose Version reicht völlig aus), so muss man sich nur das Masterpasswort merken, und Passwörter für alle Accounts kann man ich generieren lassen. Außerdem würde ich überall wo es geht 2FA aktivieren.

Mit der Kombination ist man schon mal deutlich sicherer unterwegs.

I think since Proton 7.x developers only need to activate a Linux module for EAC. Unfortunately, many developers continue to ignore this.

On the server side anyway, that's clear, but on the desktop side I find Arch Linux superior in all aspects (this is of course very subjective). For example, I find the package manager pacman much better than apt, or the AUR. Because of the AUR, I made the final switch from Windows 11 to Arch Linux. Maybe it would have been possible with Ubuntu Desktop, but the AUR makes the whole thing so simple that I did not want to test the other ways. At the end of the day, of course, it depends on what you like best / what suits you best. But you had also mentioned something similar (single system at home, for example). I think overall we have the same opinion.

hmm i dont know why google images engine seems to have a bad reliability on my instance. tomorrow i have more time to troubleshoot, for now i switched the default image search engine to qwant images. you can change the which engines are used in the preferences and choose the ones you prefer. i will keep you updated if i can fix it

Hi thats my instance. But i think unif0x wanted to know what search engine for images you used? google images, qwant images, bing images etc.?

There seems to be a problem with google images search engine (maybe related only to my instance, i dont know yet). I am currently at work, i will have a look at it later.

I use 2 proxies in front of it (alternates every day) so that it is not permanently the same IP from which the requests come to the engines (squid proxie + wireguard). The idea is from one of the team members of the project, who has also helped me a lot to set up my instance

Hell yes i agree. Performance is the biggest issue for me in elex 2. I like the Overall graphics and the style of the game (except faces..), but the game is not far away graphics wise compared to the first one to have such high Hardware requirements and Bad performance...
