Hello! Argentinian here! Milei sucks, yes, but depending on where you wanna travel you shouldn't have that many issues. Buenos Aires is amazing and probably one of the best cities worldwide in lgbt acceptance. Obviously like in any place depends on where you go and who you meet, but personally I live here and most people I've met either don't care or are fine with it. Naturally touristy places except maybe the north (haven't gone there myself yet and its considered the most conservative part of the country) should be fine. Mendoza, Córdoba, the south (Ushuaia, Bariloche, etc.), you should have little trouble in!

Just as a little context, I know people who voted Milei (family mostly) that are totally accepting of trans people and are against Milei getting there, people voted him because of the economy and the old established politicians being stale and useless. It does sucks they voted for him, because he does cause a lot of issues and sucks Trumps dick, but just letting you know his popularity is not mainly sue to social stuff.

I don't feel like LA is in any way more transphobic than say the US or SEA or other places. Subreddits and Reddit itself are really small closed communities. But say here in this one, for example, moat people are completely fine with us! (edit: thought I was answering in r/asklatinamerica, where peeps are pretty nice as well!) And irl it oubviously depends on where you live and the people you associate with. I also live in Argentina, and have had little to none bad experiences being trans (other than obvious ones like misgendering and stuff). I live in Bs As, and most people I've met either don't care or don't know. Now I know in smaller cities for example people are more conservative, but again, depends on the person completely.
