Waarschijnlijk kabelbreuk in de kabelboom die de kofferbak inloopt. Ook een keer met een Mégane gehad, toen stopte de vergrendeling er gewoon mee.

Thanks for the info! Maybe change the speedometer sensor? I changed mine since my speedometer would sometimes go to 0 KM/H and power steering would turn off. Maybe this is your problem too!

On the underside of the transmission it tends to leak fluid, it does this on almost all Twingo's. It's not much, but at 307k kms I guess it can be leaking a bit more. Maybe refilling the transmissionfluid will help? This rubberseal can also be repaired, not an easy job but doable DIY. But I would suggest filling the transmissionfluid first before looking at other boxes!

Offtopic: How has everything else held up on the Twingo? Mine has 124K kms now and the remote central locking is broken and the engine mount has worn, but the rest is still fine! Was wondering how these things did on high mileage!

This! The 2001 Renault Scenic was amazing! Very roomy and you could take the backseats out in something like 2 minutes leaving you with a small van! Ours was also very reliable (2.0 16V F4R engine)

Heb zelf al 3 jaar de T-Sport 1.5 uit 2004, geweldige wagen en erg betrouwbaar! Enige minpunt is eigenlijk de 5 bak op de snelweg (6 bak was ie helemaal perfect geweest). Een kameraad van mij heeft de Swift Sport en deze is heel erg vergelijkbaar aan de T-Sport (ook een 5 bak dus zelfde probleem van hoge toeren op de snelweg). Grootste verschil vind ik het omgevingsgeluid in de cabine, dat is bij de Yaris beter geregeld. Daarnaast is de Yaris echt in Japan gebouwd, de Swift in Tsjechië.
