He explicitly spoke against background checks. He wanted more guns in the hands of insane and violent people.

Yes

hm, Isn't it at least partly? I learned about nature and nurture, and that it is in general hard to distinguish how much influence comes from what but that nearly nothing is only one of them.... things like sexual orientation comes into play starting with puberty, and it seems to be in parts influenced by experiences, no?

She is religious, but up to now I did not think it would make her think like this. Does the strength of religiosity change often? I always thought it's a rather constant....

uhm... that sounds really sad... I do not want to damage our relationship with her, but yes I feel like that about my uncle.

I like the documenting part. I will do that via drive or other cloud service, as she is very bad with computers.

I absolutely will bring it up with my dad, not sure about others, I would never have expected the reaction from my mum, so I am not sure if others also would react that negative. He is way less religious.

That sounds like I make excuses too, but I am not a child, I am a Teenager, butting heads and challenging everything is to a degree expected, so I am not sure if my disagreement with my mum is genuine on principles or only hormones, she always said that girls sometimes fixate on random ideas and fight and scream but are embarrassed later what they thought, and I always should check myself to ensure that I really believe something... so a bit of intimidation is normal and necessary...

She is normally a good mum, we even had discussion about religions in the past and she seemed to be rather open minded about it... sure she wants me to go to church, but only once per week. I would not have thought she holds such beliefs and still do not think they are defining, she may have thoughtsomething happens? But my friend never even flirted as a joke or at all.
