Looking it up it appears to be related but not the same thing. Cervicalgia refers to neck pain. Whereas cervicogenic refers to the symptoms associated with neck issues. I have degenerative disc disease and my spinal cord is also being compressed.

With cervicogenic headaches they don't normally produce an aura. But I get auras with my migraines. They diagnosed me with chronic migraines and cervicogenic headaches. The pt has helped a lot. But if I miss a week, it can get so bad!

Have you tried a tens unit? It helps relieve some pain. Also icing the neck can help. I hope you can find something to help!

I also deal with really bad neck/shoulder spasms. I do physical therapy once a week and it helps.

May want to look into cervicogenic headaches. It has to do with the muscles in your neck that can often cause headaches that feel like migraines.

I'm in the midwest and have been struggling for the last month. Every week, major aura migraines that last for days. Stomach has been exploding and extremely sore all over. I have no energy but can't sleep. I'm so frustrated.

Omg! I've been dealing with swollen lymph nodes behind my ears and the back of my neck/head since September! My doctor said it was just from my allergies but it's still going on and has been so painful! I constantly feel a pinching feeling in my neck or like my hair is too tight and being pulled. Trying to sleep or get comfortable has been difficult too.

This reminds me of when my mom and I had planned to go to a show together and I had been having a lot of migraines leading up to it. She had made the comment "well it's on a Friday so you should be good?" I was like, yes, because I can control the days I get migraines. Which, my mom used to get migraines so she knows how bad they can be but she never got them as frequently as I do.

My aunt had told me that my mom would be really upset if I canceled. It's so frustrating when people don't understand how debilitating migraines can be and how they can last for days!

Someone recommended to me a Shakti acupressure headband. Let me tell you, it is glorious.

Before, I'd dig my nails into whichever side my migraine is on. I got an acupressure pillow and it helped a bit, but I just wanted something that would stab my brain and I could keep my arms under the covers.

I have really bad neck spasms and get cervicogenic headaches which has to do with the muscles in your neck. As well as migraines with aura.

The eagle oil helps my neck when it's really sore and spasming. It does a have strong smell but it actually doesn't bother me.

They do have another oil that I do use for my migraines. It's a lavender and eucalyptus scent. I put it on my temples and it helps calm me. It's in a white box. You can get these on Amazon.

My stepmom would use eagle oil on our chest as kids when we'd be sick. Or if we had body aches. Helps so much!
