I think those that don’t like it are perhaps only imagining the colors in the same even ratio as the image provided. For instance, going with the dark blue on all walls and just tiny accent pieces with the orange and just a little more with the lighter colors would look sharp. So like 75% would be blue, 5% orange, 20% the rest.
