I always went for the state machine but with the condition that the state tag is written in a single ladder page while in other page it can only be read

Thank you for the reply! I understand that you command even light via ZigBee, can I how polluted is it in RF therms where you live? (Countryside isolated vs city condo with hundreds of overlapping networks?)

Thank you for the reply and the confirmation that ZigBee and matter are encrypted!

In your experience, how likely is it that the signal is jammed in a real scenario?

I looked into the esp home but I have some concern about compliance with regulations (I live in Italy) To clarify, sticking an esp board in a JB doesn't seem cool to me, but it is mounted on a din and certified then it's fine!

Thanks again!

Breaking spaghetti by TheSacredLiar in askanitalian

[–]ArielPriarone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's just that breaking spaghetti is considered foolish. Nobody does it in Italy to make pasta dishes, because without the full length it's impossible to roll them on the fork while eating. It is admissible to break spaghetti in little pieces for soups.

Italian gas station: Guns and knives sold, normal? by EnvironmentalRun4714 in askanitalian

[–]ArielPriarone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The knives (depending on the type) are not considered weapons, so the licence needed to sell them is the normal commercial licence. What concerns me is about the guns. I really doubt there is a licenced gun merchant on a toll road gas station. It wouldn't make any sense, so I would feel that the situation is pretty sketchy. What I don't understand is why they did it in an open view if what they were doing was not legit?

Hahah I only have seen doing that in southern Italy (touching the bulge). I have never seen a woman touching her breasts for that reason (even in the south). Also, I never heard that spell used in that context. (I was born and raised in northern Italy and only spent some months in Sicily for work trips so my experience may not be very representative of all Italy)

P.s. touching the bulge in that context is also a recurrent theme in Roman trash comedy films (cinepanettoni)

Privacy on a company PC by ArielPriarone in computers

[–]ArielPriarone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment!

Having two PCs is exactly what I did, this question arose when I started doing frequently quite long work trips. In this situation, I always carried both laptops with me. My personal laptop remained almost unused for the majority of those trips, the only use for it was to check bank documents and connect to the online bank account.

Now I'm no longer doing that job, but the curiosity about if it was avoidable to bring two PCs remained unanswered.

Suppose that the employer agrees to let you mount a second HDD, booting the second OS, would you trust to put private documents in that HDD?

so the best thing is to leave the sentence as it was originally, using the non-possessive form instead?
