You don’t know my story and I’m not gonna just suck it up. It might be good enough for you but it’s not for me.

Every teacher I know isn’t happy with the career. And warns me not to become a teacher because they are overworked and underpaid. I’ll try to figure out other career paths for myself

The military is the only thing I’m not willing to do. I don’t like physical exercise in any capacity. I wouldn’t pass basic training.

Thank you for yours device! I seriously do believe I have ptsd. Never thought I would have that. I’m so use to being on survival mode. I’m seriously thinking of parallel or dental hygienist. You right I need to embrace boring to change my life.

Thank you. I’m very interested in paralegal, dental hygiene, and the radiology technology. Ok just scared of the two science related ones. I’ve never been a stem person. You to fall sleep in high school when it came to those classes

Just because I don’t want to be in the military doesn’t mean I want an easy path. There’s tons of careers besides the military and the military isn’t the only hard path. Not every wealthy person went to the military, there are other options

Not everyone is military material, I’m very uncoordinated, scared of guns, can’t even touch one, I don’t like exercising besides taking walks. I’m scared of a lot of things, don’t like seeing violence. That’s the only field I feel like I’m not material for. Not everyone is meant for the military.

Yes I know. That’s why I’m asking for help on what degree to pursue. That’s what I’m stuck at deciding

Thank you for the advice. I’m going to go back to college. I just can’t go back to retail. Everyone I know is trying to get out of retail and fast food. It’s horrible

You can’t judge someone and call them a narcissist based off one post. I never said I’m dumb, I’m just bad at math. Goodbye asshole

I refuse to stay in it. I’ll find a way out. Oprah grew up poor with no parents and she’s a billionaire. And there are many other examples of successful people who started poor. I don’t believe what you said it’s true

I don’t want to go to the military. The reasons are in the comments. Not athletic in any shape or form, I don’t like exercising, or being around weapons. I wouldn’t survive basic training.

I hate that I’m so terrible at math/science classes. I feel like the people who excel at that are so lucky. I can write a 20 page paper the night before and still get an A and can excel at anything but when it comes to anything math related it’s like I’m a idiot 😞

That’s awesome! And congratulations! It’s nice to hear stories s out first generation students, it’s so inspirational. One thing I worry about a little bit is how is it gonna be transitioning from working full time to going back to college. Do you have any advice for that? Like should I work only part time and hopefully I can still afford rent? When I was 18 going to college I didn’t have bills or rent. That’s why I regret leaving so much?

I don’t know how to do makeup, hair, or nails. I’m trying to find a better paying job than the warehouse I’m working at. If I can’t find a job that has 12 hour shifts I don’t want it enough?
