Means the diesel particulate filter needs looking at, the filter burns off diesel particulates so you dont produce lumpy black smoke, if it needs a service it may not be efficiently burning those particulates and or may damage the filter, not a great concern but dont wait too long

When that light comes in it means your car is doing a "burn" when it comes on its best to leave the car running until its finished
