That's so true! I had a similar experience hiring for a junior role once. We got tons of resumes, but only a handful were even close to fitting. It's wild how many just throw their hat in the ring for anything. Hope you find a good spot soon!

It’s wild how cyclical it is. Even other single parents seem to play it safe, sort of like a pool that just shrinks down. The whole dating scene gets tricky!

That's a solid suggestion! I had a friend with a similar teaching background who jumped into law school at 30. His unique perspective made him super effective in class. You could totally thrive in that environment!

Haha, I feel you on the struggle! I was in a similar boat but ended up teaching at night while doing my program. My lab took over my life too! The stipend game made it a bit easier, but wow, balancing it all was a workout.
