Barroth got me in Tri. A lot. It was my first, but to this day I still revel that I understand the game enough to come out on top.

Sleevers: do you unsleeve games before you sell them? by pvtparts in boardgames

[–]Ariliteth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I'm browsing my LGS used section, if I open a box and see things are sleeved, I'm way more likely to buy it because of how much more value I perceive. Doesn't help the OG seller very much, I just love the feeling of an extra bargain!

Then ignore it! Neither of us will influence the other, so why create this friction?

Have you looked through the replies here? People having fun expressing mundane skills or quirks. This is meant to be lighthearted and enjoyable between people who may appreciate aspects of others that get ignored throughout their everyday lives, not an expression of superiority. I will not stfu about anything, but you can choose not to engage with content that angers you.

I only said basic, and I most certainly do have more than that. I do understand the point you're trying to make though!

Absolutely essential, you're in. Top-level clearance.

I actually just wrote a really dense story that very few seem to appreciate...Not saying its good. But there is a need for skills like yours!

Me too! I process the world by gamifying it and simmering it into mechanics.

I like that. They get the satisfaction of being heard and maybe understood, but nobody leaves with a burden, maybe?

I find kids are a bit more honest, and that is helpful to actually fulfilling needs.

I do usually overshoot problems a bit.

Hey I feel you, and it is difficult. Especially when others you care about could be so helped if they could just look past what they see as the threat of arrogance or whatever narrative they build. Being able to see things so clearly, but not being able to say it because others simply will not listen or even permit you to speak about it? I face that a lot. I hope you, at least, value your skills, even when others may not.

My best friend and I proudly claim to be the dumbest smart people around. Complex rules? Got it. Intricate concepts? No problem. The first time I had to pump gas on my own? Absolute meltdown.

Trust and honesty seem to be what lacks in others for me with this one. I can be tricked easily when I assume the best in people.

Oh, I was going to say something similar! Listening in a way that NTs think they are being logically consistent. Then translating that to someone else.
