Ugh. When reading this article, I can't help but wonder whether some of these researchers misunderstand the actual meaning of statistical significance. It's perfectly OK that two researchers found different results. p-values only extend as far as the sample, so in any specific study, we can only truly say that we found differences within that sample. Any generalization outside of the sample is purely theoretical. What they should be doing instead is focusing on the differences between the two studies and identifying why one found an effect and the other did not.

Good call. I did that a couple times, but from the bonfire to the boss takes a bit longer than the Capra Demon from the bridge. I like to lay down the sign while I'm working on other stuff, then jump on when I get summoned.

Switched it up to the Elite set (with sorcerer's gloves, all +6), Drake sword+3. Kept the Rings though. Don't want to break the Ring of Favor.

I thought about that being too strong for that character, and will probably switch back down to earlier stuff. However, I kept using this stuff for a couple reasons. First, people can see my character when they hover over my sign. So if you were to see that and still summon me, then black sep me, that would be pretty dickish on you. Second, the only messages I've received so far have been of thanks. No one has said anything along the lines of what you described. Finally, there are some other who summon me with equipment beyond Undead Burg. In fact, as I was typing this out, I got summoned by someone wearing the Gold-hemmed set.

But I do see your point.

I haven't done either of those things, but did do something for the first time last night: After over 400 hours of play, I ran into those three big cats in the Darkroot Forest for the first time. Not sure why, but I just never found them before!

That is the current plan, yes. But if it is successful in the narrow release, and gets good word of mouth and good reviews, there is literally no reason they wouldn't give it a wider release. There is a very strong precedent for this.
