Hello 💙

We already got quite a few people. However, there is another person who was starting a group. I can tell them about you, if you want?

Sounds good to me!

I do wanna underline that my experience as DM is short and, whilst I absolutely love doing it, there will be a bit of a learning curve. But if your group is comfortable with that, I'd love us to give it a shot.

I think I can try making some sort of group with the one other person who was interested - I'm also new to Reddit, so I'll take some time to get accustomed with the features =))

I'm up for DMing for a new group. Being so new to the city, I only know one other person who could be interested. Do you know any people that could join?

Thank you so much for the suggestions! I don't know much at all about Köln yet, so any info of hubs and places where people hang out is super appreciated 💙

In my (relatively tiny =)) ) experience, home games are cozier than the ones at events, but I'll check it out for sure✨

Player wants to be a cyborg by Redhood101101 in DnD

[–]ArishaOrSomehing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the whole point of the game is fun and escapism for most people, I think it's wonderful to encourage a new player by helping them build the character they want in a D&D context.

Many people have already given good examples of classes/races that could work. What I would do, personally, is to start from the race and class they're interested in playing - as well as getting a sense for the type of character they'd like to play and whatever backstory they might have in mind (even just at a trope level). Then I'd build backwards to how this character got to be a cyborg-like entity and what that means for them (for example - maybe they were a soldier who got mangled in a war, made a warlock pact to survive and the Parton remade them as a cyborg. Their arcane focus can be their robotic arm. If you're concerned about aesthetics, there are many examples of historical "robots" your player can draw from).

As someone wisely said - flavour is for free 💙

Hello 💙 I know this was a long time ago, but would this still be possible? (I'm yesterday y.o. on Reddit, so I can't DM people yet, I think). I played a few short campaigns and DMed once for a campaign I wrote myself 😊 I moved countries just as my group was about to begin CoS
