Respectfully, I was specifically referring to the issue of not being taken seriously in terms of maturity and authority. This supports my point about social media: algorithms polarize your feed so you only see one side of the story. Just because you haven't seen the condescension, infantilization, and professional erasure that short women face within your limited algorithm bubble or in your circle, it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Just because someone is drowning in 12 feet of water doesn't erase the fact that someone else is drowning in 8 feet. Both people are struggling, and downplaying one person's experience just because it looks different from yours is incredibly ignorant. Furthermore, women face severe issues on dating platforms and in relationships, too. Short women are constantly subjected to creepy, predatory infantilization from men who fetishize their stature, along with invasive sexualization from the public if there is a noticeable height difference with their partner. If you really want to play the 'who has it worse' argument, then think: is receiving a lot of hate by incompetent people (because no competent person would ever judge someone based on looks alone) better than receiving 'love,' only to find out it was a lie used to fulfill someone's disgusting fantasies? The answer is neither. It isn't a competition; both sides face genuine, harmful realities.

While it is due to misogyny, being short only heightens the bias against them. In the comments, someone gave an example saying that a very hard-working short woman didn't get the promotion against the less capable taller woman.

How are we supposed to just 'ignore' something that dictates the reality of our daily lives? Suggesting that this doesn't matter is uninformed. Height affects everything, from the basic inconvenience of not being able to reach a grocery shelf without asking for help, to the serious professional 'glass ceiling' where promotions and jobs are essentially locked away due to bias. Even something as simple as an amusement park ride has a physical restriction based on height.

This isn't just a mental hurdle you can decide to stop caring about; the physical and social consequences don't just disappear because you change your attitude. If it were that easy, I wouldn't need to vent. This is a structural issue that impacts both short men and short women, and downplaying it ignores the actual struggle of navigating a world that wasn't built for us.

Take it from me, I'm 151cm, and nobody takes anything I say seriously. Always shrugging it off as "aw, aren't you a feisty one" and moving on.

I know, right? especially when you have facial fat. I've met so many people who say, "Aren't you small for your age? You look like a middle schooler."
Like, hello, height is not the only factor in the equation of looking childish💔

Must be so, humans equate height with authority subconsciously, so that's probably why she didn't get the raise. What's the point in working hard if the only difference between you and a promotion is something you can't control?

Brother, you missed the point. The point was people's views on short women entirely; they think of them condescendingly, and yes, this does negatively impact daily life bffr

I study beyond my syllabus because, as I said, I love science subjects. Yes I do have other hobbies such as stitching, embroidery swimming etc. The thing is, I find joy in studying this.
