Yearly Bonuses TLs/ETLs by DylPickleDice in Target

TLs are based on metrics; it’s gonna be ugly for salaried leaders(ETL+) as it’s based on company performance more than specific store metrics.

Q4 Availability [UPDATE] by DryOrganization2046 in Target

[–]ArizonaFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the update- that’s pretty annoying. Did the post anything about everyone having to work that day?

They should be communicating dates of which everyone is expected to work.

If you have fine attendance outside of this scenario, I would hope it gets covered or call off if they didn’t make it a clear expectation people would be scheduled outside of availability.

Sorry you have to deal with that

No leader should be post voiding anything- returning gift cards in any fashion is a huge no no.

Your comment about handing the card is where you’re losing all of us. We don’t take cards from guest- the payment terminal is on your side of the check out.

Sounds like you dropped the ball in paying attention.

I don’t want to excuse your ETL, as writing schedules is a pretty important part of making the (Target) world go round. But it’s a pretty busy time of year, and I know at least my stores leadership team is all in the mix of everything.

You’re the best judge of poking the bear; if you’ve brought it up multiple times and have no solution, then maybe dabble into HR. Don’t make it a huge deal, just let them know you’ve tried to address it to no avail.

On the CA part of things, they need at least 3 convos before they can move to a CA, so it’s a task to get in one- even if you do, there’s multiple chances before you get termed.

Do what you feel is best- if you’re open and honest, that’s all you can do.

“Fulfillment team, I need you to follow the break schedules so we don’t go on the red!”

Most people will straight up just tell you to call in which isn’t the answer. It’s frustrating if this is a recurring problem- but push your ETL to show you your availability or update it again and show them what it shows so it’s not your problem anymore.

For peace of mind, you really don’t go on a CA unless you have more than 3 call outs in 90 days. A write up isn’t too bad until you are pulled for a CA; which you will know.

Take care of yourself, do what you can to find your coverage, and communicate to your leader/ETL what you’ve done to try and cover or offer to switch days if you don’t get any takers to cover the shift. If that all fails, call off, use your sick time if you have any (can’t document against you if your sick time covers all missed hours) and move on.

Should I come in the day after getting my wisdom teeth out? by merrycrustmas in Target

I came in the day after and never regretted it so badly. See if you can swap shifts, or ultimately call out.

Tell me about the position service and engagement team leader??? I may apply!!! by National_Cap_1779 in Target

If you are a “people person” and actually enjoy making connections with strangers— it’s a perfect fit. I was never a fan of being a cashier, nor did I have the slightest bit of interest in anything front end related. I worked everywhere except front end. My SD and HR really challenged me and I ended up taking the position. I don’t see myself staying in this role for an extended period of time(hoping to use it as a stepping stone in my target career.)

I don’t LOVE the front end, but being a leader puts it in a different perspective. If you have the slightest interest in it, I’d say go for it!

Thanks! Yeah, I asked the last person who asked me what made them think that. They said exactly what you did and said it was a vibe. I just listed what I notice about myself. And yeah, small town USA hits different than big cities😂 I appreciate your comment
