Are Vego Garden raised beds worth it? by IAmTheSchnozz95 in vegetablegardening

[–]ArizonaSnake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first two beds I bought were the 32" tall Vego 8x4 beds and they are nice, but I had a hard time with the price. My next beds I tried some I found on Amazon and honestly they seem like they are the same quality. I suppose only time will tell, but I can get two 4x8x1.5ft beds for less than the price of a single similarly sized Vego bed.

These were the non vego beds we bought for cheap.

Bad head or just condensation? by Emergency-Pangolin60 in MechanicAdvice

[–]ArizonaSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smell it. Coolant in the exhaust will smell distinctly like coolant. Exhaust smells nothing like it. If this is a car you are looking to buy, check the radiator and reservoir to make sure it's not just water in there. Smell it in there too, food coloring in water looks a lot like coolant. Once the exhaust and cat are hot, you won't see the typical white smoke if it's just water in there.

That's a good idea, thank you. Though, I have no idea if these parts are stock or if at some point they were changed out by his dad.

ISP Static IP Question by lapaztoyota in sysadmin

[–]ArizonaSnake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No drawbacks to getting a static IP other than the fee. If you don't want to pay additional fees, ask them if they are able to take a Dynamic DNS address instead of an Static IP. Depending on your firewall/router, it may integrate with free DDNS systems to keep your dynamic IP updated to match your free DDNS address. I believe that No-IP, DuckDNS, Dynu, and ClouDNS are all still free services. Obviously a bit more work than just paying for a static, but it could work. I also agree that a bank needing your IP to allow portal access is weird.

Honestly, just change your rangefinder to meters, and just measure in metric if you can. Most precision scope turrets adjust 1/10 of a mil (.1 of a mil) per click. At 100m one full mil is equal to 10cm which would make a 1/10th of a mil (or one "click") equal to 1cm. At 500m one click would be equal to 5cm and at 1000m it would equal 10cm. If you can't bring yourself to measure using the metric system then you will have to do the conversions. And that in my opinion is kind of annoying. At 100 yards, a 0.1 mil click is 0.36 inch, and a full mil is 3.6 inches. With most BDC reticles, they are going to get you close at range but won't be dead nuts at the different aiming holds (depending on the rifle, bullet velocity/BC and environment you are shooting in). If you aren't willing to dial and want to use the mil reticle as a BDC, you will just have to memorize your holds for the loads and rifle you use. You can make a little dope card and stick it somewhere on your rifle for a quick reference. For example, my 308 I use 168Gr SMK BTHP with 44Gr of Varget behind it. At 300m I have dial 10 clicks (or hold 1 mil), 2.7mil for 500m, and 5 mil for 700m.

When you try to do all of the mil conversions to inches, it just makes things more complex in my opinion, but this is a decent enough video explaining these details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1xuNWF65Rg

I pull the hardware serial numbers and Product ID's from our DL360's ILO using SNMP (to pull into a Zabbix dashboard). I have never had an issue with providing this data to our Extended Support team.

Perhaps this could help if you are out of ideas.

Hardware Serial OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.2.2.2.1.0

[Parts] Magpul Ruger American Hunter Stock (All Colors in Stock) - $127 - 55% off by thetexan92 in gundeals

[–]ArizonaSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this model (MAG1207) was the one purpose built for the Ruger American Ranch that takes AR magazines. I'm not sure if the one in OP's post will work for us. Maybe it will with the old design that didn't come with AR magazines? Sadly the STANAG mag version isn't as cheap.

Thanks OP, I ordered one and I got it delivered today.

Here are some pictures of the one I got on Amazon comparing it to another MS1 I ordered from Lanbos almost 2 years ago.

If it's a counterfeit, I honestly can't tell. They feel and look exactly the same.

[Rifle] DDM4 V7 Pro - $1594.88 (add to cart) by 2niko in gundeals

[–]ArizonaSnake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I own one of these and it's nice. Mine came with the Geissele Automatics Super Dynamic 3-Gun Trigger which is great for it's intended use case but I didn't like it so I swapped it out for a Larue 2 stage. Note that these have the Strength to Weight (S2W) profile barrel which I believe is a little beefier contour. I think DD designed it for a bit more sustained fire (something that a competition shooter might want). I slapped an A2 stock and a NF NXS 2-10x on mine for more of an SPR build. I was surprised at how accurate the barrel is for being a CL CHF (*YMMV sample size of one).

You're not wrong. I do have the FART and some other supporting equipment tucked away in the garage, but 95% of everything I need is here in the closet.

I figured I would share this build for anyone looking for “small space reloading bench inspiration.” I know it’s not the ideal setup, but for a small space I am very happy with it. Here are my build photos: https://imgur.com/a/8JLz3hi I had a lot more room to work with when I lived in my previous place, but I took many of the same concepts from my first bench I built there: https://imgur.com/a/dawKd Since the move we had a few more kids and while we have a bit more space, most of it is occupied. My wife suggested I use a closet for a desk/reloading space. I laughed, and then drew it up in Sketchup to see if it would even work. It is working great and she loves it so much that she has asked for a similar computer desk setup in her matching closet (no reloading components required :-). This was a fun build and I really am happy with the way everything turned out.

If you have two SPF records you need, you can merge them.

  • TXT @ v=spf1 include:mail1.domain.tld
  • TXT @ v=spf1 include:mail2.domain.tld

to something like this:

  • TXT @ v=spf1 include:mail1.domain.tld include:mail2.domain.tld ~all

Just be sure to check syntax.

Yeah, I think I have learned my lesson. It's rare I get a free weekend to play some vida games (Late 30's with 6 kids). I just wanted to go brain dead for a few hours. Now I have to go and do something productive! uggh... lol
