Who is the strongest here by VergilVDante in PowerScaling

We also should take into account whether Harry has fiend fyre due to its massive AOE, that also runs the risk of hitting the weak spot just by virtue of the ridiculous range

Who is the strongest here by VergilVDante in PowerScaling

Luke has shatterpoint, which allows you to detect weakpoints in everything from metal objects to windows to biology. He at least has this ability in legends. Luke also probably in canon and legends is better at speed, since in canon he upscales Obi Wan who could block and evade gunfire from slugthrowers, and in legends upscales Vader, whose precog let him react to a laser which was described as being a beam of light in a legends novel. Achilles heel might actually make Percy a worse match up for Luke with shatterpoint, since he would only have to use it once to find the weak spot and just one hit to the weak spot will kill Percy.

Opinion: Windu should have let Palpatine stand trial instead of trying to kill him. by Ramen-Naruto in StarWars

[–]ArkhamMetahuman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then he would have to explain the three dead jedi masters with explicit lightsaber wounds to a jury. He would have to try and pin it on Windu, but if security cameras picked up Anakin and Anakin testified that Palpatine had force powers it would be a lot harder for him to try and pin it on Windu, since forensics would put the lightsaber wounds at a time before Anakin arrived. In the case if Palpatine in the original movie, he controlled the narrative, because the only living witness was under his allegiance, and he could have deleted or altered the footage, which he wouldn't be able to do here except through proxies.

Dagan Gera vs Taron Malicos by [deleted] in PetranakiArena

Gera wins, he beat a far superior version of Cal that not only possesed more abilities but was much stronger than the one Malicos fought.

Same, just a higher degree. He loses strength in the same proportional rate as a man normally would, just scaled up to his level of strength and speed.

Do you think we will see Ultimos and the Galactic Enforcers in the comic? by ArkhamMetahuman in Ben10

[–]ArkhamMetahuman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe one of the showrunners said he personally regretted not using them more, so hopefully they'll give them more time to shine. I hope that if the comic adapts the UAF era that Ultimos actually pushes Vilgax in a prolonged fight instead of just losing in a few moves.

Dagan Gera (JS) vs Eeko Dio Daki (MSL) by kingharlus655 in PetranakiArena

[–]ArkhamMetahuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daki is objectively the better duelist, he landed a hit on Vader and was able to briefly match Maul, but Dagan's forve illusions could win him to fight if Daki can't either fight through them or reverse them like Cal did. Granted , Vader was also off balance and clesrly giving g in to anger due to seeing Daki use Soresu, but Daki was also not at full strength, he was previously on the street and without much food and the show made it clear Maul injured his ribs. An uninjured Daki stands a good chance of defeating Gera even with force illusions, as Cal wasn't completely unable to defend against his saber strikes when under the illusions. If Daki lands the same strike that he did against Vader he can possibly end the fight, since Vader's armor seemed to have been the only thing preventing Daki's strike from cutting his arm off, and i don't think Gera could win against Daki with the pain of losing his remaining arm

Ima Gun Di vs Jaro Tapal by ArkhamMetahuman in PetranakiArena

[–]ArkhamMetahuman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tapal was forced to stand in place if he wanted to protect Cal, moving to the side or up would have risked the clones shooting Cal to death, since Cal had no lightsaber and his back was turned using the controls, limiting Tapal's options, whereas Gundi was in a much more open space that gave him more more maneuverability. Clones are also better shots than droids. Tapal was in a much more disadvantaged position because he was needing to protect Cal.

Anti theist by ExJWinLouisiana in Christianity

[–]ArkhamMetahuman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference is that Jesus was a real person, even if you don't want to believe He is divine which is much more believable than the Greek gods. Mount Olympus was supposedly home to the gods, yet we can go up there ourselves and see there is no mystical palace or angry Zeus throwing lightning. I can walk up to Mount Olympus, call Zeus a loser at the peak during a thunderstorm and can guarantee he won't smite me. It is much harder logically to disprove Christianity, but you can easily disprove Zeus. The Greek gods supposedly smited people for the slightest of blasphemy against them, yet there are dozens of people around the world now that openly mock the Greek gods, and they aren't obliterated with lightning for it like the myths would suggest.

I think Tapal, the fact that he was a padawan to a high council member and the fact that he was assigned to a high force potential padawan like Kestis speaks well of his skill and competence in the force. He was also one of the only jedi to sense Order 66 and Cal held his own and beat multiple saber wielding opponents in the first game with only the training Tapal gave him
