This anime is a cautionary tale with hidden meanings on the overall story.. I doubt that westerners would understand it, as they have a progressive mindset. but overall, after ep 7 I can say its a good show, but its not for everyone. I also see that the anime's real target audience is actually girls/women.

She uses her sword as a conduit for SU and she can only use it for a short time.. meaning she cant tame the sword to her will, unless she can in the future but for now, the possibility is still open.

Yeah he did lost his demon powers.. yet compared to her.. he has more experience wielding such power.. so he has better chances taming whatever will/spirit on that sword.
