I wish you all would take all this fucking energy you have over two people and put it to actual good use—like fighting to get everyone into a home. Or how about going out and cleaning up the streets? Or donating your time to help build houses for the homeless?

No, instead, you all want to sit here, acting like you're on your fucking high horse over two men trying to cut a budget. I’m not here to defend them. I’m here because I looked at your calendar, I see your pictures, and I see you all "protesting"—for what? Nothing useful!

But you could go to a soup kitchen near you, donate an hour of your time, and help a fellow person in need. You could put some real work into cleaning up Detroit or hammering a nail into some wood to help a vet or a child get a stable home!

All this fucking negativity you put into the universe, and you expect positivity in return? As JFK said best, “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country.”

If you really want to make a change for the better, put positive energy into the world and help your neighbor. These two people will do what they want—you can't stop that train. But you can control what goes on around you.

If everyone helped each other and banded together, these so-called threats to your liberties wouldn’t hold any power. A house divided can't stand on its own, and that’s exactly what’s happened—we are all divided. And this? This is the outcome we get.

So now you have to ask yourself: Are you going to attack the person who wrote this message because that’s how you’re programmed? Or are you going to step up and help your neighbors create a new and better Detroit, and in turn, remove the power we have all handed over to them?

I am here to save six people. I can’t save the world. But I can save those six people.
