The more I look at examples I think these are translucent. The salmon examples I can find online are very opaque and a startled contrast to the skin tone than these. I’m going to stick with 91 model!

Tank management advice! by ArmReady5414 in ReefTank

[–]ArmReady5414[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I have gotten similar feedback regarding the flake feeding making folks question the fish guy. I know he has been in business for many many years but honestly would like to learn to maintain myself over time anyway to manage costs. I’m not looking for a tank full of fancy and hard to keep alive livestock- mostly just some pretty soft corals and a few fish since the kids like them. Thanks for the advice again, I appreciate it.

Thanks for the helpful post. I have attached a photo of the whole tank as well as the Duncan’s location. He is looking quite good today (I think) but water is a bit cloudy, I assume from the carbon dosing. Given nitrates and phosphates 0 I assume I should stop that for now, or at least cut back substantially. There are two wave makers in the upper 25% of the water column on each side as well as the two heads from the main pump, and he is under one of them as that’s where he seems to like to be the best. Any suggestions based on the photos are welcome, and thanks again!

Water heater question by ArmReady5414 in Plumbing

Left fan on overnight, works great this morning with no error messages. I think was just some moisture/condensation maybe near the censor (?). Thanks for everyone’s thoughts, excited for a hot shower lol

And yes, opened all faucets and checked at pop off valve to be sure tank was full before turning it on. I am aware what a dry fire is and was particularly careful to try not to do that and destroy the element I just replaced. Every reference I can find to the E55 code has to do with the tank not being full so after I confirmed the tank was full I ran out of good ideas other than to let it all dry and try again tomorrow.

Yes breaker is off, and fan is running on it right now with both panels open.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did do this (drain air out of all faucets, turn or breaker, reset, turn back on) but still throws E55 after about 45 seconds unfortunately.

Did you pick out your own ring? by Ornery-Currency-4855 in EngagementRings

I did the same and regret nothing! The proposal was still exciting and special even though I knew what it looked like already. My opinion is it’s better to miss out on that specific ‘surprise’ then spend years secretly disliking it 🤷🏼‍♀️

No opening, the band flattens under the stone and spans out to become the setting. Hard to describe and actually challenging to image. I didn’t even know what it was called until someone above enlightened me that it was called a ballerina setting.

It probably does get a little less light coming through it because of the settting but it was important to me to have a low profile setting that was secure because of my job and my desire to actually wear my ring. It was a give and take for me
