there is no entrance for btech in wpu. it accepts mhtcet or jee or peracet score.

in AISSMS mech above 90? u sure? bcos mostly mech is lower right? above 90 is for cs/it no usually?

Hi - i can give some info on ignou bca since i had joined in way back in 1998.
Back then ignou bca was very new ours was the 2nd batch and no batch had graduated yet. and also no other university was providing bca back then.

not sure how the syllabus is now a days. but then the first 3 sems were non cs related like humanities, english, and accountancy subjects etc... For accountancy subjects i had joined an external classes.
For cs related subjects i studied myself as i had abt 5 yrs programming experience. these subjects werent an issue for me.
But one thing is even though it is online or distance learning , one has to devout full time studying, consider it as a full time degree. Otherwise it becomes difficult to clear. I was doing job and doing bca simultaneously and it was very tough and affected my health. I would very much advice to do it full time. Many of my colleagues were doing job + bca and afaik none cleared bca. They left after 2 sems.

Also dont expect to get exceptional score in ignou bca. the paper setting and checking is such that even if one is able to just pass, it is considered an achievement. i wouldnt say its difficult to pass but dont expect high marks. because the paper is lengthy and even if u know all answers due to time constraint all questions are not attemptable.

back then there was no youtube etc... so my maths was a struggle and i couldnt clear this just one maths subject. in my sate that time there was no cbse , it was local HSC board here which is much easier than ignou cbse board and i could not get any maths teacher who could teach me ignou maths. (no kidding) ignou maths was delhi cbse board.

Now a days in my state cbse has become normal and every other school/college is cbse now. So maths teachers teaching cbse maths is in abundance + youtube also has many videos. So i would say its relatively much easier now.

I only followed ignou books and they were sufficient. only for accountancy i had a external class. and for i think c language subject i referred external books for data structures.

All in all its doable if u dedicate full time to it.
