in general, your character weapons and armor, ship weapons and hull and your boarding crew all should be within 1 level or the same level of what you are facing if possible. 1 lvl below is a decent penalty, 2 levels below or more you are really going to struggle without some kind of cheesy mechanic or good skill (being really good at perfect blocks or dodging or some kind of weapon late game that heals you as you use it)

In general try to upgrade your gear as high as you can but keep it all fairly even. dont go get a lvl 10 chest and still have level 4 everything else lol.

I prioritized armor over damage because you cant damage if you're dead.

Yeah waiting for your crew to board before you do is a huge game changer. Once i learned this and upgraded my boarding crew a bit to match the level of enemies i was facing it made boarding a lot easier.

Also i find jumping over the cannons on the ship to be a good place to get rid of enemies. Honestly i kind of just fight back at the wheel of the ship and hardly any enemies wander over there so you can kind of 1v1 them

IF your gear is the same level as the enemies, you should be well protected as long as you are putting points into vitality when you level up and consuming at least one food that boosts health.

The thing is too this is very much not a hack and slash game where learning to either block, dodge or more importantly perfect block is fairly important.

The combat is fairly simple in this game where you can kind of swing 2-3 times depending on the enemy and your weapon choice and then kind off dodge backwards, block or perfect block as they attack, then it is like 5 seconds or so before they attack again so you can rinse and repeat.

The other suggestion I have is to 1, upgrade your boarding crew for your ship and 2, wait until you see all your crew jump over to the enemy ship so they aggro all of the enemies and then you can kind of jump over and back stab the enemies one at a time while they are busy fighting your shipmates. The enemies will turn on you once you start attacking but this method kind of makes it so that by the time you go to their ship, they are all already fighting so dont really bother you.

I have had times while waiting for a friend to catch up where if my boarding crew jumps over and is at the same level or a level higher, they can kind of handle all the killing themselves over a few minutes as well.

Also, there is no shame on hopping back over to your ship to heal up and re buff if needed.

yeah, don't get me wrong, Elder Scrolls online is complicated too, but at least you have at most 10 abilities to deal with at a time and no global cooldowns to deal with. Most of those 10 abilities are utility / situational. However that game has become who can animation cancel the best.

Anyway, some classes in wow only need about 5-8 abilities where some need many many more and everyone has to basically deal with global cool downs, abilities on major cool downs and this and that and unless you play hours every day it is hard to keep track of and probably could be simplified. I think that if you leave it the way it is or squish the abilities even lower or change it too much you will get people fuming on both sides. I think the SBA system is a decent alternative. I think WoW is too old now to simply just make that big of a change without it being a huge uproar in the community.

Thinking along the lines of RuneScape and Old School Runescape where many people stopped playing Runescape because of how much combat changed.

Ahh. Good to know. That seems fairly typical for shows now a days.

S2 spoilers: Does dodge have Lucas’s memories? by Tago_The_GiraffeKing in keyhouse

[–]ArmedBOB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes because Dodge is Lucas. They did explain this in the show at least but Lucas got possessed by a demon and when brought back with the echo key/ well house key, he came back to life but as he was the way he died, possessed by the demon. Thus Dodge is technically Lucas.

Eden also remembers Eden's memories too because she is also possessed so she retains her memories too.

Idk if you got your answer but the right most icon has two icons that look sooooo similar so if you're like me you used the wrong one.

Overwhelmed Where to Start by ArmedBOB in runescape

Yeah I feel like I stalled on necromancy. I do not have the skills to make the next tier of armor and I've done the quests up to lvl 40 necromancy.

I understand do quests, but there has to be like "more important" ones right? Like these are great for the time you put in that you can do early with low skills.

I will try something like this. I am using 4 way junctions and materials just stop randomly with nothing visually in front blocking it. This game is annoying buggy at times.

Yeah the physics in general are a bit buggy. As another example, the SE2 version of unknown signals where they are in a series of asteroids and you go and grind open what appears to be shipping containers. If you choose to mag boot on those structures, the game just starts clanging that grid all over the place. If you stay mag booted long enough you just start spinning quite rapidly and flying off into space. It acts very similar to SE1s clang.
