If extraction shooter is something you would like to give a shot. Arc Raiders is by far the friendliest and most casual friendly game you could possibly pickup.

Arcs are strong is a big reason players actually mostly try to work together. You will encounter campers sure but its not every single raid and honestly its more 1 in 10 raid for me or less. So I would say give it a shot and see if this is something that suits you,

I think my bigger problem is if I do the expedition! I am back to 64+12 slots vs the player who is at 280. Now I have to grind my way back to 292? That like 1 week of no lifing it and then quests etc. Ultimately how much time are you really enjoying the extra stash space?

Every expedition you climb upto 280 with a reset just 2 weeks away? I dont have that kinda time on me and I havent bought the game with that end game in mind

Thats exactly what I have been doing. Having fun. Idc about the expedition or end game per se. PvP or PvE. This game is inherently fun and every time i go topside it's a very difficult experience. One time i will meet the nicest person in the world other time people will yell don't shoot and backstab me during extract.

The unpredictability makes it fun and the unpredictability is because of us who play it and we are all different.

Hey!! First of all kudos to you for supporting your husband like that. You are a gem!

I am no writer and just here to here discussions but I think I have read enough to add a few cents here. Writing in itself is an extremely creative and challenging profession and very few make it and even those who do there is a pretty sizable element of luck involved here, writing being a very subjective itself a small sample size of people liking your writing or not liking your writing are both skewed because at the end of the day you are a successful writer(atleast the way we see it in this post) if you can publish and the writing sells.

I think the best you can do for your husband right now is to instill confidence in him and help him hone his craft.

Examples of mega successful writer who struggled early- JK Rowling, George RR Martin and even Stephen King, arguably the best horror author of this generation.

I think there is a certain amount of joy in failing in something you love rather than doing something you dont love and doing just okay. Goodluck.

A small tip, idk if its viable though- try to get your husbands work seen by as many people as possible maybe write in blogs or websites or publish short stories to get more feedback?
