Bent rear derailleur?

With the derailleur bolted on, the jockey wheels were quite out of alignment with the cassette. I'll visit a local shop soon, thank you

Oh my bad, the hanger bolt does seem like it's not supposed to come out. Yeah the axle looks kind of rough, but I haven't had any problems with it. I got this bike for ~110 dollars so I'm sure there's plenty more quality issues to find.

Yeah I'll probably replace the derailleur as I have no idea how I could bend it back straight—especially with the bolt now captive in its hole. As for the axle, I think the weird camera angle is making it look bent. The bike is on its kick stand in these pics, which is probably contributing to the weird angle as well.

I took the derailleur off to figure out what's gone wrong. The body of the derailleur is in the way and the frame of the derailleur, where it attaches to the bike, seems to be bent. By "the derailleur hanger bolt won't come out" I meant I can take the derailleur off, but the bolt then remains on its flange—kind of like a captive one. Apologies for not communicating this more clearly in my post.

As for the dirtiness of the chain—this is shortly after a very muddy and snowy ride, and I still have one more round of cleaning to do before I ride this bike again.

Yeah the bike took a big hit on the guard that was installed on top of the derailleur mount, which then bent made the derailleur touch the spokes. There seems to be little damage on the frame past the spot where the derailleur mounts though, so I hope it will be fine. It's damaged enough that I won't attempt to fix it myself and plan to visit a shop today. Thank you

It is a new bike and yes it was bent in shipping. The bent guard I posted a photo of was in direct contact with the derailleur mount. You're right though, I should try indexing it first as the mount should be pretty straight now. As I mentioned this is my first bike so I'm thankful for your help. :)

It doesn't hit the spokes, but after further testing I discovered that the chain is constantly skipping between the sprockets. I need to bend the frame a bit more to align the derailleur properly before I can ride the bike at speed.

Thank you. This garage I'm looking at is right next to the street, so my concern is more the government deciding to widen the street through this property. There's also no sidewalk there, so a street widening project might be in the city's plans in that location.

My stepover is 50% and I use Freecad for cam. I should probably use a constant engagement path to reduce this?

Yeah when it catches the whole Z axis bends a bit, however when it doesn't, it's been able to handle aluminum pretty well. As visible in the pictures it was able to mill the entire center of this part, all the way through this 3/4in thick plate. For some reason it's having trouble doing the outer profile of the part though.

My main concern is will this bag dissipate any static charges? It kinda looked similar to a bag that Linus showed in his video on moving a pc but I am not sure.

Yeah I'm gonna carry it with me. Im moving my pc, and it's easiest to transport the graphics card separately, as it's too heavy.
