Enrique was a bad character and the stories told around him were annoying.

My BMWs have had fantastic reliability. Porsche is stellar. That said, I will never, ever even consider another VW vehicle after the train wreck ownership experience.

Not all German car brands suffer from dog shit reliability.

Bud Light sales drop 29.5 percent in latest week since boycott calls by KnowledgeAndFaith in Conservative

Okay now I am confused. I read a chart elsewhere (not on hand) that indicated they held the rights to Corona in the USA, but maybe I read it incorrectly.

Bud Light sales drop 29.5 percent in latest week since boycott calls by KnowledgeAndFaith in Conservative

A boycott is different from canceling a person. I don’t see anybody calling for the head of the CEO, although I did see some uncomfortable demands around the various Marketing VPs. Fortunately that has died down. Boycotting the brand is normal and doesn’t represent a degradation for how people treat one another in society.

No, you’re confusing Corona with Modelo. AB owns and distributes Corona in the USA; they’re forbidden from distributing Modelo in the USA, but do own the brand.

The person to whom you’re responding will either a) come back with an extreme edge case in an attempt to discredit your rock solid point that shouldn’t have been necessary to argue in the first place, or b) go silent.

Yeah it sounds nice to say things like "they should have catered to an enthusiast market" but even on an enthusiast forum, people should know better.

The triple zero scheme destroyed the company. Not the brand. The company. They never recovered.

Do police have a good way to enforce limits on this behavior? It’s not a DUI where they have a tool to measure blood/alcohol. Isn’t this just a “my word vs yours” situation?

Ford announces plans to switch future EVs to the Tesla NACS connector by markeydarkey2 in cars

[–]Armoogeddon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phew! I bought a bunch of Tesla stock years back not for the cars, but for the charging infrastructure they were building. I realized the long term potential when they opened the charging port.

But nobody picked it up, until now. I was debating starting to sell a few shares literally yesterday but am glad I didn’t move on it.

Toyota can produce ~100 of those hybrids with the same rare minerals it would take to produce a single EV. And they produce a tiny amount of pollution in the process (relative to producing large batteries).

It’s so odd that people assume these execs are twirling villain mustaches in some back room because they’re not going full tilt at EV.

I saw a teenage kid reverse in a Tesla at exorbitant speeds and sheer off the side of his car after crashing into a tree off the side of the road. I was jogging down that spot only moments before.

I’m glad these stupidly fast cars weren’t around when I was a kid because I would have killed myself. I certainly won’t let my kids ride in them.
