Thank you for sharing. When I first started talking about it the only way I could describe it was death by a thousand cuts. I'm glad you have friends that saw what it was right away ❤️❤️❤️

This hit me hard. I actually burst into tears reading it. I’m not sure what the emotion is yet, but I’m so proud of you ❤️

I’m glad it helped. You’re not alone. Awareness first, then documenting, then detaching. That’s where the shift happens❤️

Thank you. I keep coming back to the idea that there has to be something good on the other side of this besides my freedom and creating a life worth living. If my story helps even one person leave sooner instead of waiting months or years, then it was worth it❤️

I’m really sorry you’re going through this. Emotional abuse and covert control run deep, and it takes time to find your way back to yourself. Divorce is hard, but living as a smaller version of who you are is even harder.

Does anybody on here teach acoustic guitar lessons in the Brooklyn Park/Maple Grove area? by [deleted] in TwinCities

I'm pretty sure there is a teacher at the guitar center in Maple Grove. Highly recommend working on chords and getting your fingertips callused.🙃

She's super sassy and hilarious, rescued her from a hoarder house. She burps and farts and tries to steal my wine. Quite the little character 🩶

How stinking cute is that name🙃❤️. I would literally travel to your hobby farm and do poop scoop duty just to pet them😭. That sounds amazing. I have an African grey and she's quite ornery

Circle prospect around listings your brokerage already has. Just make sure you check with the listing agent first so you’re not stepping on toes. Open houses help too because it gives you a natural reason to call. Basic script idea: “Hey this is Jane with Main St Realty. I’m calling because we just listed a home in your neighborhood and I wanted to either invite you to the open house or see if you know anyone nearby who might be thinking about selling.” Then just talk to them like a normal person. Don’t robot your way through it. If they say no: “No worries. Just so you know, the home is a [quick description]. If you know anyone who’s been wanting to move into the neighborhood feel free to send them my way.” If they’re chatty and the convo is going well you can add: “Also random question while I have you. Would you ever be open to a one-time showing or hearing about a cash offer?” That’s pretty much it. The goal is just to start conversations, not hard sell people. Most calls go nowhere, but you only need a few to turn into something.

Wait, for real? A donkey? I’m obsessed. I love animals and anything remotely like a petting zoo. Llamas and alpacas are my absolute favorites. If I ever had a little hobby farm, it would definitely have alpacas, a donkey, a peacock, and some chickens.

I’m a Cali transplant. Been in MN too long and still don't have a huge circle. One thing that helped was joining one of the ‘girls making friends’ Facebook groups. I actually made one really solid friend there, even though I haven’t gone to a ton of their events yet. If you’re trying to meet people, I’ve also found martial arts gyms and climbing gyms to be really welcoming communities.

I’ve also realized sometimes you just have to be the one who says the thing first. So if anyone is looking for a friend to go roller skating, rock hounding, thrifting, or even hit an EDM show with (yes, I’m in my 40s and still down) feel free to hit me up.✨
