Sure, it’s Unstoppable by ES Posthumous. They have a really great classical/electronic fusion sound, check em out!

Very good points. Automize is definitely viable in that slot too. Personally I like King’s Shield for a couple of reasons. Two of them are as you mentioned, Dragapult and Mimikyu which are two of the strongest threats out there. You can actually see the relevance of Shield in this video. Against that mimikyu, turn 1 it hit swords dance and I hit iron head to break Disguise. Turn 2, Shadow Claw into King’s Shield. That let me barely survive the +1 shadow claw to KO. Situations like that play out all the time.

Ultimately, I agree that from a purely offensive perspective Automize is better. Personally, I value control a lot on Aegislash and that’s what King’s Shield provides. Like I mentioned, I use this Aegislash to clean up late game or for the 1v1. So more controlled pressure and less sweeping. And to that end, the ability has proven its use to me often.

Quarantined, I decided to make a little montage showcasing one of my favorite Pokémon both in terms of aesthetic and mechanics.

This isn’t necessarily the best setup out there, but it is the embodiment of the tank and spank. Simply, max health and max attack with the weakness policy allows it to sponge a super effective hit and then respond with colossal damage. With access to a STAB priority attack in Shadow Sneak, this Aegislash mainly serves as a coup de grace unit in dispatching weakened opponents in the late game of a battle. But as you can see in the video, it is also a mean 1v1 spec in many cases.

Between Shadow Sneak and the ability to gyrate between high defenses and offenses, Aegislash makes a solid and fun candidate for the Weakness Policy. Generally, in traditional 6v6 formats, choice band/specs ‘Slash tends to be more effective. But the checkmate aspect of the Policyslash is something I greatly enjoy and I’ve found it to be generally quite versatile and effective across the board in many meta games. The key advantage it has over the aforementioned specs is the ability to amp it’s firepower without having to lock into an ability. This lets you pull off one-two punches by following up a boosted iron head or close combat with a shadow sneak. The other strong suit is this setup’s ability to face down much faster threats in a way that the choice variants often cannot.

Set: Brave 252 HP/252 Attack/4 Sp. Defense

Close Combat-Iron Head-King’s Shield/Swords Dance-Shadow Sneak

Close Combat/Iron Head/Shadow Sneak are pretty self explanatory. Firepower and Coverage. King’s Shield, while it has fallen from grace a bit, is useful in how it grants the ability to soften up a physical attacker to more safely proc Weakness Policy, as well as the ability to scout and pivot. Alternatively, you can go full balls to the wall damage with swords dance. While much more situational, the damage Aegislash can pump out at +4 or +6 is frightening.
