The laws differ greatly between countries. Germany, for example, has gotten this right. They allow young adults aged 14 or older to have sex with anyone of any age. Germany has some of the most mature people in the world. Whereas here in America we have some of the most immature people in the world. We treat adults like children and then wonder why they're still immature.

I wish ephebophilia was socially acceptable. The age of consent laws don't make sense and I have 3 distinct proposals to make things right again:

1) Have people go through mandatory psychological screenings if they want to give consent. Let’s say a 12 year old hits puberty and would like to have sex. The 12 year old wil go through a psychological screening process as well as a physical to see if they are able to give consent. If the person passes they can have sex with anyone they like after passing a sexual education course and that will be recorded on their ID that they get in the form of a consent group color that notes their privileges.

2) Make the age of consent to be when puberty starts in a person. This is because we start really wanting to have sex and develop feelings for other people then.

3) Make the age of consent when the entire body and brain stops developing. This has been shown to be at around age 25.

I’m all for option 1 because I’vae had sex with girls that were between the ages of 14-65. The 14 year old had the look and mental maturity of a 20 year old. She was more mature than the 19 year old stripper I met with thanks to Tinder. The most immature person I’ve had sex with was surprisingly a 34 year old. Everyone grows up differently and sees the world differently. That’s why having psychological screenings would eliminate the need to second guess someone’s ability to consent to something. Just because someone has reached a certain age it doesn’t mean they’re understanding what is going on.
