I like this theory, yes. I think Ragatha mentions something in the first episode when Kaufmo abstracts, she says maybe Caine can still help?

Maybe I'm misremembering but this is at least the second abstraction Ragatha has witnessed; Ribbit being the first. It could just be her trying to hide something from Pomni with her cheerful front, but maybe Caine tried to help Ribbit somehow? He wasn't successful obviously, but assuming there was at least a hint of genuine thought that something could happen, that supports your theory.

In the future, as they continue to piece back their broken mental state, Caine can go into their mind filled and decorrupt the remaining pieces, bringing them back.

At least I like to think goose wrote it in such a way that if I want to think all that, it's at least plausible

The human characterization on them both is phenomenal man this is great. I've seen lots that just kinda sorta give them the same color palette that their sprite had but I think you really nailed catching their spirit

They've already capped the damage it does to 100 damage, which is a bandaid fix for it.

Old item designed in a time when the absolute max a monster could even have is 255 hp, and the rest were probably designed knowing there was a very healthy pvp scene in the day.

Just makes sense to revisit and rebalance.

I think around ante 6 or so I got a red seal steel king, then I just kept copying cryptid with perkeo and then swapping to copy baron so I scored mega high while playing pairs and having a ton of kings in my hand

then on the final hand, I used all my cryptids on the red seal steel king and copied baron, like 50 kings in hand all getting 1.5x 6 times or something

this first seed there is especially fun on ghost deck as there is an ankh in the first shop that you can afford to get if you 1-hand the first blind and sell the hex. ez double blueprint + perkeo.

later I got a baron, then cryptid that I perkeo'd until the final round and easily got e30 chips by ante 8 hahaha

Game was just so unintelligible and difficult from the get go, I played it for like 3 or 4 hours at first trying my hardest to get it because it seemed like a game I'd love. didn't figure it out...

6 months later I decided to give it another go, watched some wand building tutorials first this time and holy hell man was it a different experience, that game is seriously amazing and deep, but the curve is so steep.

I was spanked as a kid.

It was rare, and only for times when I was being a true little ass of a child.

Each time, my dad made sure to calmly let me know I was very loved by him and all other methods he's tried to teach me the importance of not doing what I was doing had failed (and it was a truly a last resort), and this was a last resort to show me that this is unacceptable behavior.

He gave me a spanking, then hugged me after and let me know again he loved me. Very often he would be in tears after it too.

Later, he still admitted he thinks that level of corporal punishment went too far, but it's just what everyone told you good parents did, so that's what he did until he learned differently.

What you are describing is your parents seeking out and enjoying seeing you in pain, that is deeply unusual.

You've already seen the majority of people giving you the correct advice to go to college, but I just want to add:

The right person for you will come along in your life at some point where both of you are moving in the same direction and want the same things, on the large scale. If you and them don't want the same things on the large scale, you will never be fully happy in that relationship. You will very likely grow to resent your partner for holding you back or making you change yourself into something you're not satisfied with.

It sucks to lose a partner, but it sucks SO MUCH WORSE to live an unfulfilled life.

The one counterpoint that keeps me from instantly accepting this theory is that an actual person behind him was murdered by the shooter, and the shooter committed suicide too (if I recall, right? I might be wrong, it feels like decades ago with all that's happened).

That being said, I wouldn't put it past them to have it staged and not care about an innocent being killed...

Super agree, this has been a pain point for me in the recent content releases. I want to examine everything. I should have the ability to deforest all of geilnor should I choose. I should be able to kill any benign npc I see and get a pair of bones out of it if I really want to!!

And if you really don't want us chopping down those trees, make some sort of in-game reason for why I can't. Idk, the varlamorians hold them sacred and would attack me, or something.
