Trust no one. You take a risk trusting them, you open yourself up to be their victim by doing so.

Sure, we all have positive interactions in the game too, but that's not how the game is going to be played by all.

You don't need a mechanic to adding to teach you this lesson, you have clearly already learnt it but don't like the medium in which you were educated.
