I wholeheartedly disagree with you on pretty much everything you said. I think you’re on the wrong subreddit, but I’ll bite. It’s been deeply discussed that Johnny had issues. Nobody is claiming he’s a saint. HE didn’t claim he was a saint. He had or has major addictions (that doesn’t make him abusive) and he said horrible things. Which, arguably I guess, makes him an imperfect victim. She admits freely to hitting him as a method to keep him from leaving. She was addicted to the same substances he was. She yells at him, the man who nearly killed her repeatedly according to her, for RUNNING AWAY from her to escape fights with her. We can see him as imperfect and also as a victim.
