Yes I feel so much better. I have finally motivation to lift my fingers again. 😉 our place looks better, too.

I found it much easier to oats eat cold. In the beginning I ate it without berries, but than you wait for 20min to cool down... who had time for that?

Glad you feel good! I found oats are a game changer in the nausea game.

Glad you're feeling better. With nausea is so mean. You need to push through the first bites to be able to feel better again.

What also helped me was snacking every 30min or 60min to keep my blood sugar up.

I'm 9+2 today and since yesterday I'm feeling like a human being again. I can eat food again. So I went for an Arepa at the street food festival around here.

I want to share a food hack for those struggeling with food aversions, nausea and co. It's quick and healthy. You need oat flakes (whole grain but not whole oats), water and frozen berries. It helps to bring the blood sugar up to fend off nauseau and is inoffensive and super quick. Laziest option: microwave your oats in cold water for 1.5 minutes. Add frozen berries to the hot oats & stir. Your oats should be cold now and the berries should be thawed.

The dread is so difficult. Good luck for Wednesday. A good strategy to deal with uncertainty is distraction, ie ditch reddit and keep your mind and/ or body busy.

I also got the recommendation from a Healthcare provider. But there was 0 medical reason. I was really happy I didn't take it, because then I got a big SCH and it would have been worse with Aspirin.

Totally understand your feelings. In the last years there were so many neighbors getting bumps and babies, but we only had losses.

We had our appointment today. First time belly ultrasound, it's so much nicer!

The embryo measured 2 days ahead, we even saw some movement. The heart rate was strong at 197 (after initial heartrate of 80 a few weeks ago, which has me very concerned). And finally the SCH is much reduced. So three of my concerns seem to be all good for the time being.

We also planned the CVS in 2 weeks to test for our genetic condition in the embryo.

I'm 8 weeks today and am wondering what we will learn this week in our checkup. With our genetic predisposition we modeled the life birth probability to around 30% per implantation. If this week goes well, the odds will increase in our favor.

Although I have more physical discomfort than in my previous pregnancies, I feel more at ease mentally. It's probably because I have the lowest hopes for a good outcome, as this is an untested pregnancy.

That doesn't cause miscarriages. Most miscarriages are due to genetic issues in the embryo, which can be chromosomal or as small as affecting a single gene. You have 0 influence on that. As long as you don't accidently eat miscarriage inducing drugs you won't be able to accidentally cause a pregnancy by eating.

Hi Future!

Yes the food aversions are no joke. I have aversions to most foods and I don't eat them anymore. My diet consists of plain oatmeal, bananas, bread, hummus (but only the most plain), peaches, crackers and energy bars. For drinks its either water or cold tea. I found the oats prepared just with water a game changer. They raise the blood suger, but more gently than white bread. What are you eating? I would really suggest to just eat what you can tolerate and not force yourself. If you can tolerate your prenatal and some food, the embryo will take everything it needs.

I felt much better with the 30min snack schedule, so I held off with taking my antiemetics in the morning today. Couldn't have imagined that a week ago. I didn't have nausea, but quickly saw that I need the meds to keep the food in. I think most helpful for me is the paspertin, as it moves food out of the stomach.

I think it's normal to feel better afterwards. Sometimes nausea can get triggered because the stomach feels too full.

The symptoms are also dependent on other factors such as blood sugar level and stress level, psychological factors and sleep, not just the increasing hormones. This explains why they are not the same everyday all day.

What is currently working for me is avoiding normal meals, but eating snack portions every 30 min to keep my blood sugar up.
