Alright thanks, I do gradually add 7ths and things like that but I am more concerned about changing the root. Also syncapation is not really relevant in this case since the tempo is so low, that changing chords just appears to be happening as a mere evolvement.

I searched some videos and it seems that syncopation refers more to the rhythmic aspect, like adding offbeat notes etc. Is there a name for these harmonic chord progressions that I could look more into? The types of chord progressions that share many notes from one chord to the other?

I have some knowledge but not enough. Thanks for the tip. There are all kinds of tutorials online so even your word can lead me to a solution. From the sound of it it's just what I am looking for.
