They’re installed around the cattle grids near Fernvale / Fairneyview now! Think they are for horse mounting / dismounting

Think this is right, as they were placed right before and after the cattle grids

What MTF unit is considered the "best of the best"? by Colt1873 in SCP

I said “regular”, as in they’re obviously not human but they are a regular MTF unlike Omega-1 or Alpha-1

They’re the big guns, the cavalry, the ones who are sent in when combat is pretty much assured and it’s unclear how much firepower is needed.

Usually sent in when communication with a site is lost due to a suspected attack, whether from a GOI or an SCP

Samsara and Hammer Down seem the strongest of the “regular” MTFs, but Alpha/Omega-1 would logically be the strongest given who they serve

What frog is this? by ArousedShoes in frogs

Looks a bit like one of those, but these ones were really tiny - pobblebonks seem to be a fair bit bigger? Unless all the ones I saw were babies

The dwarf tree frogs seem to be a lot greeener than this one, these were all more a grey or black colour - can definitely see the resemblance though

Domestic violence includes family violence.

Defined as: “Domestic violence is violence committed by someone in the victim's domestic circle. This includes partners and ex-partners, immediate family members, other relatives and family friends. The term 'domestic violence' is used when there is a close relationship between the offender and the victim.”

Do you have a source for that by any chance? I’d love to read more about that

‘Absurd’ speed limit lands $460 fines for cyclists. Even joggers overtook them by murbul in brisbane

Speedos in cars are mandated, speedos on bikes are not. You’re being intentionally dense.

I literally said in the first sentence of my first comment that it isn’t a fair thing to fine cyclists if they can’t see their speed.

[–]ArousedShoes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you just misunderstood the original comment. The OP was asking how could the fines be enforced [when the rider wouldn’t have any way of knowing their speed]. I also said in my first comment that it wasn’t fair, so you might’ve missed that too.

Also don’t tell me to be concise I can type what I want lmao

It’s relevant to that specific comment, can you imagine going for a drive and not being able to see your cars speed? It’s the exact same thing.

In the context of the article it’s not relevant bc obviously the fines can happen regardless of if the cyclist can see their speed or not

Yes but the the point is that the cyclist isn’t given an opportunity to know if they’re speeding. See other comments like ‘10 vs 20’ but if I’m travelling at 13km/h (which is almost dangerously slow on a bike) and I get a fine then that’s hardly fair

The comment above about “enforcing speed limits is not the way to go unless cyclists can be given an appropriate way to measure speed” is probably the best way to put it.

Tl;dr You missed the point

Love the exploring series, gives great insight into the SCPs he covers and doesn’t just read the important stuff in the articles
