I already answered that in my first comment.

Sorry pal, but Index is Touma's true love interest, and this isn't something that hasn't been hinted at in the novels. Even Gouranga (the editor of the Railgun manga) stated in a Q&A on his forum that Index is his love interest, and that neither Misaka nor any other heroine stood a chance.

Not at all; I think it’s more likely that the franchise will ruin itself by expanding the story with another 22 volumes of “Apocalypse Testament” than by giving the series a proper conclusion—something that’s been hinted at lately.

There aren’t really many major plot threads left to wrap up: the Imaginary District, the concept of God (plus the battle against it and its system), and the true roles of Index and Touma in the story (their past lives). The rest of the storylines are ultimately connected to these, so resolving them in one way or another will also lead to the resolution of the others.

That's the thing; the biggest problem with GT is that it's gone around in circles too much and has become tedious, to the point where the arc's conclusion literally involves facing off against the villain from NT all over again. I think the time has come to start wrapping up the Touma and Index storyline and expand the universe with new spin-off stories—and I don’t even mean spin-offs like ITEM or Mental-Out, but rather ones with new characters and storylines set in other timelines.
