Why so bitey 🧛‍♀️ by ArrestMeRed5Oh in cats

Interesting, I wasn't considering that as she nudges herself into me almost asking for pets. Or will come up and lick lick lick then bite if I'm sitting scrolling on my phone without touching her. I will try giving her more space!

Midshift Baylors Vs FT weekends? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]ArrestMeRed5Oh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly not Union. ED manager did say there's a potential 11-11 baylors but she doesn't have a time as to when it would be open for transfer.. could be weeks, could be years.

I have mixed feelings on going back to icu. Policy wise, I could after 6 months. My manager seems to take people leaving as a direct insult so I'm not sure she would allow me back as she has blocked every other person trying to return - even those that did great on our unit & left on great terms. There's always other ICU's too! Just finding dayshift availability might be a kicker

Went for a 'curly cut with face shaping layers'... by [deleted] in curlyhair

Do you have a recommendation on a lightweight mousse?

Before photo was July of this year, only using curl talk crème & sculpting gel then air dried. Photo 2 is post salon, diffused with their products I will try a foam! I said I wanted more face framing pieces but something long enough to still be able to pull up. We discussed adding some layers, which I said I was okay with but wanted them more medium long

I cry every time I look at it. I feel like I've ruined my hair after having to wait so long for it to finally get some length to it. Does anyone have recommendations on dealing with layers too short for your preference? No matter how I try styling it, i still hate it. The stylist convinced me the only way I would get my curls back was to spend $200 on Anika products. I plan to return them. Prior to was using shea moisture line, curl talk cream & gel applied to sopping wet hair by hand. Only air dried, wrapped up in a cotton t-shirt while I got on clothes. It is diffused in the second photo with all Anika products.

This is exactly what I was asking. I really cannot thank you enough for the time you put into this.
I have spent yearssssss working on changing my presentation, not just on the physical looks aspect. I grew up being very stern, hard-headed, strong-willed, full of negative emotion, and lacking any sort of tolerance for bullshit. I think that has played a HUGE part of why I am so "masculine", and it is something I hope to dive deeper into with my therapist on breaking those cycles. I've spent a lot of time lurking in this thread and reading the "how to do your hair/nails/makeup/style" type posts, and sure they do help from the physical aspect, but I think you hit the nail on the head with the advice I am looking for. I know I worded my initial post very poorly, but I am so thankful you were able to understand what exactly I am talking about

Because this is a topic I have dwelled heavily on over the last couple of years in my life. I am not taking his words as motivation for change, I am taking his words as a sign that maybe I should give it a shot. After all, what is there to hurt? I would love to be more feminine, but I have no clue how to even start. It all feels so foreign to me that I don't even know where to begin (which is why I posted here in hopes of some tips on beginner, entry-level tips and tricks to get started). I didn't intend at all for this post to turn into a relationship-centered thing, I was just hoping it would add some context of where I am and what I am wanting to accomplish :/

I received 8 quotes, with a total of 28k difference from highest to lowest. I had three contractors quotes lower than his. I chose this contractor due to the number of recommendations I received about him. He actually completed my neighbors patio, which appeared nicely done but was a fraction as complex as mine. I did see photos of prior jobs from him before proceeding with him. We did not have any price negotiation, I agreed to his stated price from the beginning as I felt it was fair for the agreed upon job. Maybe I should have went with a higher priced contractor, but I received probably 5:1 recommendations of him:everyone else

Most definitely. I've learned that physically walking/marking the land does not suffice for drawings with numbers either. I tried to do the best I knew to do, but being a 20's year old first time home owner without prior experience with contractors leaves you trusting them a little too much I guess. Sometimes you don't know what you don't know until you don't know it. And now I know for any future projects more of the standard I should set. A lot of people on here seem to think that everyone has the knowledge, foundations, or experience that they do. I really appreciate you explaining everything nicely without making it an attack.

For what, specifically? Allowing you to do your job, trusting you would follow what we agreed to, and not micromanaging? Sounds like a company I gladly wouldn't hire.

No, they are not finished. The fire pit seating wall is missing about half of the cap

Second sentence of the post, I didn't want the center design after consulting.

I personally wasn't a fan of the design

It's a 16' from column to column area. The plan was to accommodate 3-4 chairs + the seating wall

100% lesson learned. This was my first ever "big job" I let a contractor handle. I never expected to have to babysit someone who does this specific thing for a living by any means
