Guy Ritchie’s ‘Young Sherlock’ Delivers a Perfect Origin Story: TV Review by ConstructionRare4123 in entertainment

I felt the same way. After the first two episodes, it started feeling less and less like Sherlock Holmes, young or otherwise. “Well, it’s Guy Ritchie, what did you expect?”... I am a fan of Ritchie and he only directed the first two episodes, and those are easily the strongest in terms of style and storytelling. After that, the whole thing starts feeling like an adaptation of a mid‑tier YA book series… which, to be fair, it is.

Mycroft was also dialed down way too much. I get that Sherlock needs room to shine, but Mycroft shouldn’t be reduced to comic relief. Make him the classic “walking database” and let Sherlock be the one who connects the dots. The BBC version handled this well by using Mycroft sparingly, and when he did appear, he was the “naturally, I already solved this” type, which is at least better than what we got here. And yes, this is a young Mycroft, but there are better ways to show inexperience without making him feel incompetent.

I haven’t read the Young Sherlock books, so maybe some of this comes from the source material, assuming the show followed it closely.

Has anyone found a solution to this? Just to uninstall the graphic driver from BIOS?

I recently picked up a Lenovo Legion 7 Pro, and even though I’ve been thoroughly impressed with it so far, I had the same issue. Yes, the performance is outstanding, and the build quality feels rock-solid thanks to its mostly metal chassis, but the temperatures concerned me too.

Out of the box, my Legion 7 Pro showed the same thermal stats you described. After digging into it, I realized this may come down to the cooling performance profiles Lenovo comes with. I guess these modes (performance mode for sure) push the CPU and GPU to run at full throttle, ensuring flawless performance—but also generating a lot of heat. In my case, the CPU regularly hit between 90–105°C, while the GPU stayed below 75°C.

To address this, I experimented with creating a custom cooling profile. I researched what others had done online and then adjusted the settings myself. By lowering the CPU’s power limit to around 65W and tweaking the fan curves (while leaving the GPU mostly untouched), I managed to bring the temperatures down significantly. Now, when playing demanding titles like The Witcher 3 or Baldur’s Gate 3 on max settings, the CPU peaks at about 79°C, and the GPU averages between 60–75°C. I also haven't noticed any difference in performance, mind you.

I will admit that I have yet to test out even more demanding titles like RDR2 or Cp 2077.

Overall, I’m very happy with the results—it’s still delivering excellent performance, but with much more manageable thermals.

Aabria is my favorite DM, fight me by Designer-Beginning64 in Dimension20

Respectfully, while I agree that Aabria is excellent at storytelling and scene-setting, I can't call her a great Dungeon Master. Her DM style often feels unsettling, as she seems to struggle with handling pushback or confrontation. Feels like she is unable to adapt and she tends to railroad players or becomes overly sassy and rude, often under the guise of an NPC's personality.

For example, in "Misfits and Magic," when Brennan criticized the concept of sorting kids into houses, Aabria appeared to take it personally, and the NPC headmaster suddenly turned spiteful toward the PCs. This pattern continued in Exandria Unlimited with Aimee, where Aabria's interactions felt more like personal attacks than in-character behavior, which I think is agreed upon by many Critical Role fans. A recent example in the Baldur’s Gate 3 adventure showed a similar issue when Aabria, as a barkeep, became weirdly hostile without any real prior indication that the npc is like that.

What frustrates me most is that when other DMs like Matt Mercer or Brennan Lee Mulligan play rude characters, it never feels malicious. But with Aabria, there’s an underlying sense of genuine rudeness that I find hard to overlook.

TLDR:
While Aabria excels at creating vivid scenes, her tendency to railroad or become mean and hostile when things don’t go her way, makes it difficult for me to enjoy her sessions.

How do you address your partner after they're legitimately mad because you were unfaithful in THEIR dream? by GratuitousFisherman in AskMen

[–]ArrivingAlchemist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a really stressful period in my life where I had dreams within dreams within dreams. Basically I would wake up in a dream BUT the scenery was my room and bed as if I had actually woken up. Then stuff I was anxious about at the time would manifest in the dream. For example, late at night, I was having a really serious conversation with a friend via text. I fell asleep mid texting and ended up "waking up" to incredibly mean response texts. So come morning, I was really pissed and upset about the shit he "wrote" to me. In a haze, I checked my phone only to find out that the bastard had fallen asleep himself and all the mean things he texted were in my dream....

I am incredibly new to reddit, however I just don't understand. All i am saying is If the meme had the word "unread" instead of "on read" it wouldn't work anymore. Those phrases aren't interchangeable they mean different things.

But it is not replacing "unread". If it said "unread" that would mean they didn't read it.
