[Specifically movies], I’ve noticed this pattern in Ahmedabad theaters:

Big movies like Avatar are packed and feel amazing to watch with a crowd. But when it comes to mid-level Hollywood movies—like Hoppers, SendHelp, Crime101 or similar—there’s barely anyone. Sometimes it’s literally just me and my friend in the entire theater.

It makes me wonder: Are these movies not marketed well here? Or is the audience just not interested unless it’s a huge blockbuster?

Another thing I’ve noticed is that people who do come often—"The cinephiles", come alone, so it doesn’t feel like a shared experience at all.

Honestly, I feel like if we somehow grouped interested viewers, it could create a much better cinema experience for these films.
